We love Pizza Hut!! My kids fight over it. Its cheesy greaasy delicious goodness. The only downsides are that you need to take a second mortgage out for stuffed crust. It was over $40 for a large stuffed crust two topping and a hand tossed pepperoni, for carry out. When you think about it, its kind of ridiculous. This location in Duluth has improved recently. The last time our family ate there it was in the old creepy building closer to the mall. We ordered two stuffed crust pizzas and the dough was insanely overproofed or something. The crust was literally paper thin, flat and hard! It was kind of awful. I seriously couldnt believe they were using overproofed dough for stuffed crust pizza, which costs more than an average steak dinner in my area! I understand it being slightly preferable to shape the dough, but it was like pizza on a piece of matzo/hardtack hybrid. The consistent sucky thing about Pizza Huts everywhere are that everyone hates the sausage...it always tastes old. But it wasnt too bad here at this location. And finally, the worst of all Pizza Hut eat-in deterrants -- the cold bathrooms. I don't mean chilly, I mean freeze your butt to the seat, mid-winter icy blast peeing in a snowbank. I pity anyone who has little girls to toilet or anyone slow moving. I have arthritis, so I wear my winter coat to use their toilets. Thats kind of ridiculous, too. If i recall, I have seen my breath once. Sure its Minnesota, but dammit, if its more comfortable to pee outside in mid-winter...something is wrong. Maybe they do it to deter hobos in big cities? I dont know. But five minutes with no fluffy coat and my arthritis stiffens me up and I can barely get up. Even in the middle of a hot...
Read morei had some siblings come into town and decided to give pizza hut a shot for dinner. i placed an order and waited 10 minutes before driving there. it was an 11 minute drive, and the wait time said it would be 15 ish minutes. we got there and i waited at the counter for a few minutes and all of the workers never acknowledged me, while looking at me as they walked by. one guy wearing a mask darn near over his whole face came out and told us it would be a few minutes in a very rude tone. we sat down and watched the chaos unfold in the kitchen as more and more people showed up waiting for their orders. the guy in the mask was cussing a bunch and yelling at everyone in the kitchen. there was another guy filling drinks and putting pizza in boxes who kept ripping a vape during the process. the masked guy came out with a pizza box, threw it on the counter, and told us “happy birthday”. we just stood there and he came back and told us we could have it for free, also in a very rude way. my brother spoke up and pointed out his tone, to which he told us to get out of his store because he’s not serving us. i stood around because i didn’t open my mouth, so i figured i could still get my order. he came out after another 10 minutes and said i had to leave too. i started pointing out to him how his cooks were ripping vapes while serving families, and he started excusing their behavior because he couldn’t “know what was going on all at once”. not only am i disappointed with how i was treated tonight for pointing out a health violation, i’m disgusted with how he never addressed the vaping issue, while knowing it was happening, and continued to follow through with kicking us out. would not recommend this...
Read moreWow what a sad experience at this location this evening. Brought the kids here for the Buffett since website said kids eat free on Tuesdays only to find out after we sat down they were taping a hand written sign on to the glass of the Buffett that "only kids 5 and under eat free kids 6-10 are 3.99". Fine we were already there and did not feel like putting the kids back in car and going elsewhere. While eating not only could you here the ladies working as well as the loudmouth cook complaining about everything including customers, there was also a young lady that was working delivery walking around the Buffett and back to through the kitchen while eating a piece of pizza!!! Gross!!! Can someone mention health department regulations regarding this!! Then to top our night off... The "manager" jessica rang us up for 4 adult meals 4 adult drinks which was almost 40 after tax. That was with us having a free Buffett reward card full. When we called her on it she said she took one of the kids off for the free Buffett card and that we kept bringing up the website what the website says about kids eat free on tuesday and that that is a corporate special, we are a franchise so we can charge what ever we want.. She then refunded me 4.09 for not taking the adult buffett for the free card. Wow never again will they see a dime from this apparent "interuption"...
