Today is my last day working for halal guys i use to love this job but then I noticed some real issues here before making my decision to leave the staff is okay but there is a management issue i spent many days doing the work for 3 ppl and only getting paid for one when asking for a raise I always was promised more money and never receive. the turnover rate for this job is unbelievable and I've suffered many nights here by myself just to tell me to get over it it's business. Im really just trying to let anybody who plans to work here know that the chances of you staying at this job is unlikely from personal experience I see alot of good workers come through the door turn right back around and leave. there's definitely a cast system here especially after being told tha Americans are lazy and that's why we don't have anything to show for our work.. I would stay away from here if your trying to be successful.i finally gained the courage to leave after I finally realized this company does not care about its employees. And also thes type of company's pray on honest ppl who try to actually make a living. believe me...
Read moreI recently visited The Halal Guys in Duluth and was very disappointed. I spent nearly $27 for a plate of chicken and falafel—only to watch the falafel pulled out of a plastic bag, poorly shaped, and honestly, it looked like dog poop. The food presentation was a letdown.
Even worse, the restaurant was in bad shape—ripped floors, non-working screens, and overall poor maintenance. It didn’t feel clean or welcoming, and I didn’t feel like sitting down to eat there.
What makes this more painful is that I’ve seen their potential. Back in 2015, when I lived in Jersey, I visited their original New York location at 2 AM and had a great experience. They built this food empire with passion and hard work, but now it feels like they’re losing grip.
The Halal Guys need to understand—they are not McDonald’s. People don’t come here out of necessity; they come for a special experience. If they continue to operate like a fast-food chain without maintaining quality and atmosphere, they won’t survive. Smaller, passionate restaurants will easily take over if the Halal team doesn’t wake up and get things...
Read moreI ordered via Uber. The location is 20 mins away. After all the fees and tip the bill was $35. I asked for extra white sauce, extra beef. First the hour it took to get the food is a joke, but that's uber so not HG fault, but it adds to the frustration. I get no sauces AT ALL! NOT even little packets. So my food is cold, I'm hungry and I get a dry meal! The sauce is what makes this place special. I call I asked if someone can bring me the sauce. I was told no and they can offer q discount the next time I order! I'm not even from expletive here! I'm not ordering from you again sir. Refund me my money. I was told no also! I decided to go a look the guy in the eyes and bring them back this cold dry meal! 20 mins one direction. I asked for a meal correction and a free meal which they obliged to. I ordered through uber so I didn't have to stop working on a project with deadlines. So I'm an hour further behind. Fast food restaurant make way too many mistakes on deliveries and takeout and I'm fed up. Time is money and they, fast food chains, are way too careless as a...
