Angel Scoops Ice-Creamery and Cafe — Restaurant in Duncan

I was really excited to bring my family here since it looked like it had a nice, family-friendly outdoor play area. The ice cream was delicious and the service was excellent — very friendly staff and a great beachy vibe overall. Unfortunately, the back area was a big concern. There were several large dogs running around without leashes, which felt unsafe, especially with my toddler. We ended up leaving that space and sitting on the porch instead, but my kids were disappointed because they were wanting to play in the backyard. For a place that presents itself as family-friendly, dogs really in should be required to stay leashed so that families with young children can safely and comfortably enjoy the outdoor area. We might come back because the ice cream and service were great, but we’d definitely avoid the backyard unless this changes.

EDIT in response to owner: Thank you for explaining! I completely understand supporting fundraisers and community events. My main concern was safety — having large dogs off-leash in the same space that’s advertised as a family play area is unsafe. It also would have helped to know ahead of time; when I asked the young lady at the counter how to get to the backyard, I wasn’t told there was a private event. Posting a sign or giving customers a quick heads-up could help prevent confusion in the future and reassure first-time visitors that this...

This was my first visit and I was super impressed! The young lady that helped me on Saturday 9/13/25 around 1-2pm was super sweet and friendly! I appreciated her amazing customer service! You have a great employee!

The shop itself is so lovely, clean and inviting! The outside setup was so fun for my granddaughter! She loved playing on the hoppity hop balls and tic tac toe game. Another little boy played with her and they both had so much fun! This is a perfect place for families so I told my daughter about it. They have 4 kids so it would be a delightful place for the kiddos to play after they finish their ice cream!

I also told my church Life Group about it too! We may come together to enjoy some ice cream! I will be telling others too!

Lastly, the ice cream was sooooo delicious! I had butter pecan and I loved it!!! It was the best I've had! I loved all the pecans! It tasted homemade! Do you make it there? My granddaughter loved her mint chocolate chip too! Thank you for providing this wonderful ice cream shop which truly is...

We absolutely LOVE it here! We held our son’s 3rd birthday here and rented out the back area for it! Karen and her husband the owners truly took care of everything, they made the process so easy and the girls who work for them are so helpful and I’ve truly never been to a place that was so accommodating for kids and families! The setup out back is the perfect place for families and kids to have fun together without the concern for keeping up with the kids thanks to a wonderful fence around the whole property! Everything was high quality, even down to the tables you sit on! We will likely be back every year for his birthday!! They even surprised the kids with face painting - how sweet!!
