Do not sleep on this place. Coming from Texas. It’s really hard to find good brisket. I had the privilege of speaking with the owner, Ryan when I made my order. We had a lengthy conversation about how he makes his brisket and I have very high hopes. To tell you that I was shocked at how amazing it was would be a disservice. This took me back to being out in the country part of Texas, and made me feel so close to home even though we’re all the way out in South Carolina. The brisket had a perfect smoke ring, the perfect consistency, and the perfect flavor. If you have a chance stop by try it for yourself you will be happy.

But the thing that steals the show is the burnt ends. His pork belly burnt ends were the thing that I didn’t realize that I was missing in my life. One bite will send you straight to heaven. The flavor is hard to describe, but trust me when I say you are surely missing out. They are perfectly caramelized and topped with green onion and everything complements.

This is the best barbecue place that I’ve had since I’ve been in South Carolina and trust me I have had well over 20 different places.

But hey, don’t just take my opinion. Stop by yourself talk to Ryan try the food. Thank me later.

And Ryan, when you see this, thanks man, you have made a lifelong...

I am a former BBQ competitor cook and a former bbq Food Truck business owner, so believe me when I say that I have extremely high standards when it comes to BBQ. I've visited the world famous Franklin BBQ in Austin Texas as well as several other high quality BBQ joints across the USA. I'm beyond excited to share that upstate SC now has a BBQ place that is in the same elite tier as many of these national establishments. It has long been a struggle to find good quality BBQ in South Carolina. The average resident's opinion of good BBQ is roast pork that is smothered in mustard sauce. Good BBQ should be tender and flavorful that a sauce isn't required, but is simply an additional bonus. That is the type of BBQ you can find at Game Day BBQ in Duncan. I tried the Brisket, Pork Belly burnt ends, and sausage and all 3 meats were absolutely excellent. The brisket was tender, flavorful, and smoky. The pork belly burnt ends were crunchy, sweet, smoky, and delicious. The sausage was a nice bonus from the owner and was highly appreciated. It was much better than the average sausage served at BBQ restaurants. Please, for the love of all that is right in the world of BBQ, please go visit this restaurant in Duncan SC. It is truly a gem and blessing to the people of upstate...

Not sure what the big deal is all about with all these positive five-star reviews. First off the brisket when they have it is dry as he-double hockey sticks. As I said when they have it because they are always out of something. It's a little game the counter personnel play. Instead of telling you what they are out of before you order they let you run down their list of items (which is quite extensive) only then to tell you they are out. There big claim to fame is scratch made ingredients. Potato salad, Cole slaw, very bland no taste at all. Mac n' cheese barely passable. French fries frozen out of a bag are always soggy. Ribs are average at best. The pulled pork is very good which is why I keep coming back and the only meat item I order now. As for the side items on their menu it is getting harder to order something that I consider good or they are just plain out of at the time I place my order. Which is starting to get a little frustrating And will probably be the deciding factor in the end when I...

My first time at Game Day BBQ. I was torn as to what to order with so many great choices. As soon as I walked in I was greated by Bruce Clark, the owner. He was very upbeat and welcoming. I asked what he would choose and he immediately said. The brisket, the homemade hot sauce, collards and sweet potato crunch. I said definately and also added some fried okra because I can't do bbq without okra. I also ordered his and my favorite cobbler, peach. I know, I know, thats alot of food but I had no lunch and it smelled so good. All were fantastic!! Could not choose which side was my favorite. All full of flavor nothing needed to be added. The brisket was moist, tender and so flavorful. Everyone eating in the restaurant were raving about their choices as well. I'll definitely be back! Next time I'll take pics, I forgot to until after I dug in. Thanks Bruce!

I'm not one to leave reviews, but after the experience I've had I just had to. I'm very pregnant, and was craving my favorite bbq spot Game Day. I ordered my food through a delivery app which I never do. I was really wanting their cobbler so I left a comment and they called me right away just to let me know they didn't have it which was okay. But I loved the customer service. Once I got my food and opened the boxes my pregnancy emotions got to me, and I couldn't help but cry. I had a very generous portion of food, there was a very sweet note in my dessert, and there was an extra box.... Game Day gave me an extra box of pulled pork, and congratulated us on our baby. I haven't seen customer service like this in awhile and it's incredible. I will continue to be a returning customer. I love Game Day!

First time at Game Day. Love love love. One odd thing, on Tuesdays they close at 3pm which may have contributed to their being out of brisket. They also ran out of the Pork Burnt ends while I was there, but lucky for me, I got the last order. Just seemed odd for a bbq place to run out of their two top selling items. That said; the burnt ends were fantastic. The pulled pork Sammie was also great as were the collards, the baked beans. Both of those sides are extremely sweet, not a terrible thing, just unusual. The sweet potato crunch lost its crunch but was a nice finish. We both couldn’t finish our meals, so having a great lunch tomorrow. Super nice staff, interesting atmosphere w plenty of tvs for game days. I’ll definitely be going back - got to try the brisket.
