I am currently sitting in the location in Duncanville Texas. We were promptly greeted by a very friendly short Hispanic girl and taken to a table. We are a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 small children. We do create your own bowls for the kids and 2 large CYO bowls for ourselves. We select our items and they are cooked. The Lady who Greeted us brought our food and was so kind and asked if we wanted any sauces or other condiments. At the time we said no because my husband did not get his food yet. Our server Kynedy came and asked if we were good and we asked if we could get Soy & Teriyaki sauce for his food to which she said "you can get it your self". I am a server and just did an 8 hour shift on my feet not to mention our tab was $75 i didnt come here to serve myself. When we finished i asked for 2 drinks for the kids, she brought the check and she charged us for kids drinks that are supposed to be free with their meal. We never got the drinks. Updated to add: I asked our server to get the manager. She then asks me was "something wrong on the check", to which i reply " yes". I knew then that she knew there may be an issue with charging me for 2 kids drinks. She didn't immediately get the manager, she went over and took an order at a table. I then asked the Young girl who Was acting as host and food runner to get the manager, she did. Manager was nice, i voiced my concerns and when i got to the part about being charged for the kids drinks our server was standing behind him and decided to say to me " i charged you cause at first you got them waters" to which i replied " that should not matter, since they were included in the price and she obviously knew they were for my kids, since she was standing there when i asked what drinks they wanted" We oftentimes get water to start so the kids dont drink just soda and not eat their meal. I told her i was speaking to her manager, not her and she said " but you are speaking about me" As a fellow service industry worker it takes alot to upset me, and even more for me not to leave a Tip, but this situation got under my skin. We paid over $25 for each adult meal & just as Olive Garden or any other restaurant in that price range we deserve excellent and a FULL service dining experience. And as a server you definitely dont CONFRONT a customer about YOUR mistake. I hope this teaches her that a little hospitality goes a long way, she cost herself a tip by making us get our own soy sauce, Teriyaki and charging for 2 kids fountain drinks out of her wanting to be petty. The manager removed the 2 drinks off the bill. We had still not gotten the drinks, so i asked for those after...
Read moreI placed an order around 7:30 pm on DoorDash. Around 9:10 pm it was delivered. The order was completely wrong (Sonya, sorry girl. I got your dinner and lemon cake). I immediately called the location and Bailey answered the phone. I explained the situation, and asked what could we do to make this right. She transferred me to Austin. I once again explain the situation and asked if I could come pick up the right order and bring the wrong order to the restaurant. He said sure and agreed to make sure my food was fresh and bring it to my car when I call. I wait a few minutes and head to the restaurant and arrive at 9:30. I called the restaurant as instructed, and there is no answer. So I wait a few moments and call again. Bailey answers and lets me know my food is on the grill and she will bring it out soon. After about 15 minutes, I call back to see if they forgot because they were closing down the restaurant. No answer. So I wait and call back. No answer. So I go inside, which I was trying to avoid because rona..... when I walk in I tell the girl at the front, who is mopping that I have been trying to get my food for hours now and I am really hungry and would like my food. I do not yell, cuss or act as a 'Karen' in any way because they are still handling my food. The young lady, with her mask below her nose, looks at her other coworker, who also has her mask below her nose, and turns back to me and says "That's not my problem. Bailey didn't tell us nothing". I very calmy asked if she could show me who Bailey is. She says the one with the headband at the bar. I walk up to Bailey and say I would really like my food. She says oh, it's on the grill. I'll bring it out. It's now 9:50 pm. I say ok. I hand the bag of Sonyas food over. The girl at the door, clearly not concerned for her abhorrent behavior moments ago, comes over and asks me to explain the issue again and show her when I called. So, I pull up the call log and show her, and she says what do you want me to do with this food? Ummm I really don't know. Just give me mine please. I'm so hungry and tired..... I go back to my car and wait. Finally Bailey brings my food out. She is very kind. Girl, you deserve better. Please go find a new job! Anyways, I finally got home at 10:20 pm to eat. Almost 3 hours after my initial order. And here is the fun part. This was the second time this has happened. It also happened in May, but due to the fast and friendly service by Bailey the last time, I gave it a second shot. Never again though. Which is a shame because the food is delicious. But, this is just...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Genghis Grill, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our waitress, Breanna, was absolutely fantastic - attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. She took the time to explain the menu and helped us navigate the build-your-own bowl process.
The food was incredible, with a vast array of options to suit every taste. I opted for the sirloin steak tips, polish sausage, and sliced beef, paired with a delicious blend of sauces. The portions were generous, and the quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite.
What truly sets Genghis Grill apart, however, is the interactive dining experience. Being able to create your own bowl and watch the chefs prepare your meal is a unique and engaging twist on traditional dining.¹
Breanna's exceptional service and the outstanding food made for a truly memorable experience. I would highly recommend Genghis Grill to anyone looking for a fun and flavorful dining experience. Be sure to ask for Breanna - she's an asset to the team!
