They failed to put a sign a up stating they do not take call in anymore . After calling our order in driving from Whiterock and got there told a child after standing in line while she looked up at use through the window and continued to play on her phone that I had a call in order . They lost my order had to wait 45 min for a five piece catfish and a 4 piece wing and people were coming in after me who didn't call in got there food before me then one of them had to go get change to give me and another gentleman our 5 dollars back had to remind them they owed me 5.00 ... My husband was so upset wanting to know what was taking so long when we called our order he gets out the car and well just say was not happy with the service wanted our money back . Got the food . Well my husband 4 piece had so much grease they must forgot to drain it that the grease put a whole in the bottom of the bag so big he tried to hold on to what was left we finally got home and the chicken wasn't cooked on the inside all the way . I had to put what was left in a container due to so much grease . The teenager told use you can call in but they but they won't make it until tou get here because to many people order alot and don't come and pick up . Hmmmmm but what about the customers that do and that drive far to come over and dont won't to wait 45 min when there not busy .My husband said his been eating for there for yrs but after today we will no longer support this African American business. To many kids walked through the back in and out I doubt they made them wash there hands . Very unsanitary. Wish them well ,hope they keep the multiple kids out the back, had to many people going in and out back there . Germs . For 45 min on a call in this was the first time the food was awful and they were not busy...
Read moreFirst off, this place is not to be confused with Louisiana Catfish & Chicken. This place is listed as Peaches Louisiana Fried Catfish & Chicken on Acton Ave. in Duncanville, so don't let some of the pictures taken at LC&C fool you! Now, some of the previous reviews are absolutely correct...the customer service here is beyond terrible. They answer the phone like someone answering their home phone and it's always answered in a slum fashion, sometimes with attitude or as if you're interrupting them. Once you arrive there, it has the typical neighborhood look and atmosphere.
As you walk inside you're staring right at a small takeout window, reminiscent of visiting someone at a maximum security facility as if you're a threat to someone there. And get this!!!...they have a tip jar sitting on the ledge of the window. (LMBO!!) The only people that deserve a tip there are the cooks in the hidden background. I gave this place 3 stars because the fish is actually good and cooked well. The guy cooking the fish is actually more customer friendly than the person working the window. He will interact with his regulars and show some type of courtesy when spoken to.
To make a long story short, this establishment is not in a war zone, nor should the customers be treated or subject to endure a restaurant that seems to be afraid of their patrons. They really have good fish here and I can see why we endure the attention they dish out to us. We're willing to pay for the meal to enjoy a decent lunch or dinner, but continue to support poor customer service and run-down conditions. I like the food here, but they really need to improve on the way they handle business. At the prices they charge and as much business they receive...a much needed upgrade should have happened a...
Read moreTo start off with, like many other reviews I have seen for this restaurant, this restaurant is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. I have nothing against hole-in-the-wall restaurants but the location is a sketchy one, which sometimes attracts suspicious activity. I do admire the workers' dedication to their jobs. However, the restaurant's customer service is questionable and tacky. When you order food over the phone, they will tell you 15 minutes, but you end up waiting for an hour. This establishment is a decent place to get food when you don't feel like cooking, but the wait is extraordinarily painful. The pricing is expensive based on the food quality. What I have noticed lately about this establishment's food quality is that the food tastes very well but it comes in very, very small pieces; today, I ordered a 10 piece catfish meal and the pieces were smaller than chicken drumettes and wingettes. Before I discovered this, I found out that the fish was cold when they served it to me. When I went to respectfully address these situations, they refused to give me a refund and they blamed it on their delivery truck. With all of this information being said, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone and I am not...
