Los Pelicanos Mexican Cuisine — Restaurant in Dundee

Cute little place. It was definitely a different experience than I was expecting. My mother's coworkers have been talking about this place like it's the gospel. I took my bf there, the Yelp reviewer of Mexican food (specializes in Tacos). The cashier was odd and didn't have very good customer service. Liked that we sat outside and got to pick where we sat. Had (I think) handmade salsa and handmade tortilla chips brought to us, and roughly 15 minutes later, our food was brought to us. I had a burrito, and he had tacos. Initially, I thought it was odd that the burrito was cut in half, but it didn't change the taste. Well seasoned chicken, rice was meh. Overall, the burrito was good. It's worth what I paid. My boyfriend's opinion? Taco meat (steak) was delicious, well seasoned, tortillas were soft, onions were diced well and fresh, cilantro was fresh, red sauce was good, his ONLY complaint was the Salsa Verde. Said it was gross, tasted like bland avocado juice. He still used it, but that was his main disappointment. Though, I will add, this place is one of the very few places I know of that doesn't poorly layer the burrito. Bite one side, veggies, bite the other side, only meat. It was spread evenly, so you got a little of everything with each bite....

The food was absolutely perfect, striking a great balance as it was neither too dry nor too oily. Each bite was a delightful experience, showcasing the chef's expertise and attention to detail. Additionally, I had great customer service throughout my visit. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, making sure all my needs were met promptly and with a smile. We had dinner at Los Pelicanos Mexican Cuisine in Dundee and it was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious our table enjoyed the carne asada plate, chicken fajitas, and fried fish, and everything was cooked perfectly with great flavor.
