New management is not making Sub sandwiches, they are making Torpedo's. This is the 2nd time I've ordered since new management has taken over and the subs are extremely small. In an effort to try and avoid a bread sandwich, yesterday I ordered a foot long cold cut trio with 2x the meat (extra $3) and 2x all the vegetables. I ordered ahead online just like last time, and the sub looked exactly like it did the first time. I wonder if I ordered in person if I could convince him not to short me, because I was most certainly shorted. There was less meat on this sub than there has ever been on any Subway brand sub than I have ever experienced without ordering double meat. I was livid that I paid $13 (it was $15, but I used a 20% off coupon through the app) for a sub that specified double meat, and I got half the meat instead. After grabbing the prepackaged sub from him in the store I asked him specifically a "You did put double meat on here, right?" He confirmed "Yes, double meat." As soon as I got in the car I opened it up and sure enough it was a lame. lame sandwich. Mostly bread with a pathetic amount of meat on it. They put more meat on their sandwiches without paying $3 more for double meat at other locations. I didn't bother going back in to complain, as this is obviously how new management is going to run the place. We normally go between the store on Tampa Rd and this one on our way to the Dunedin causeway or Honeymoon Island. I always preferred NOT to stop at this location due to it's poor sandwiches and customer service. Since yesterdays experience, being our second experience with new management, went poorly as far as value and quality of food experience goes, we will not be returning to this location and I found it so aggravating that it was worth writing the review. If you like bread sandwiches with just enough fillings to make it look pretty, this place is for you carb lovers. Go ahead, pay $13 or more for a small loaf of bread. For the carnivores and omnivores out there, make sure to stop at Publix to get some deli meat to dress your sandwich with. Oh, and you'll need your own condiments too because extra mayo, oil, and vinegar must mean don't put any on it to the new management. Dry bread sandwich for $15. I can tell some recent reviews are family or friends of the new owners. Everyone else must...
Read moreWe always get great service here, but not today. The women who usually work here are friendly and helpful and will even give coupons at the register. Today the 2 young men who were working, im certain, were scamming the customers. The first one tried to pawn off an end peice of bread, that would normally be discarded, as a kids sandwich. I had to pay for a 6 in instead. The second one overcharged me by 2 dollars and when i asked about the discrepancy he said "oh thats because i didnt think the juice box was part of a meal." I said well it is. Sandwich juice box and cookie. He said okay ill throw in a toy. I said i dont want a toy, i want to be charge correctly. I had already paid. He explained that most people get fountain drinks with there meals so he didnt realize the juice box was intended to be part of the meal. I was charged 7. 78 for a 6.00 meal. He then began helping the man behind me. I felt brushed aside. When i got home and went to check my receipt i realized he did not give it to me. Both of the guys working were rude, and i felt, dishonest. It will be quite some time...
Read moreI went there once and ordered us meatball sub and went outside and ate it and it was cold. I went in and I said the sandwich is cold did you shut the temperature off? She goes yeah I said how long ago she said half an hour ago. That's illegal you can't shut the temperature off and sell the food. I asked to get a different sandwich and she said I would have to pay for it. I demanded a new sandwich and that she refund my money for the one that was cold I said I would call the police because it's illegal to sell food that's not at the right temperature. She said you should have thought about that before you came in at an hour before closing. What? Why should you shut the temperature off an hour before closing? That's insane. Today I went back in to order the same sandwich and it was an hour before closing and now they didn't even have any because they already shut it off and put it away. Don't waste your time this...
