Read moreThe food here is good. The menu is diverse, they have some unique items, and the portions are generous. I've been here 3 times so far and have never had a complaint.
The only reason I'm leaving a review now is because of an off-putting interaction I had with the staff today.
We arrived for a late breakfast at 12:40. We were approached by a server who told us, "we're closing, and only have a limited menu."
I asked what was on the "limited menu." The server said she'd check and let us know. She returned and said, "you can order off the full menu." Huh?
We did exactly that (their hashbrowns and boba tea are amazing), ate, paid, and left about 25 minutes later. The service was otherwise good.
So, a few comments: if you're "closing," then either lock the door to prevent anyone else from coming in and/or change your hours of operation to reflect that you close at 12:40 instead of 1:00. Don't lie and say you only have a limited menu in an attempt to get us to leave. Either you're closed or you're not.
Also, you're a small business and we were return customers. We've raved to several friends about this place, who have also gone and enjoyed their experience. I would think you'd appreciate anyone who came through the door, even if it was 5 minutes prior to closing.
Just wanted to share my experience as constructive criticism to the owners, and not to deter people from trying this place.
Despite today's interaction, we'll likely be back and will tell our friends to...
Read morei will start by saying i do not fault any of the waitresses for this, and i appreciated all of their time for serving my friend and i.
the main reason for this review is hearing the chef yell at her waitresses. the place is not that loud and when we were there, there were not many people. we sat near the kitchen, and all we heard was the chef yell at the staff while they were making other people’s drinks or preparing tables for future customers.
my friend and i got their mini pancakes: i got the honey nut, and she got the funfetti. both of our mini pancakes were overcooked; the inside was gummy and tough to eat. she ordered a side of bacon and i ordered a side of hashbrowns. her bacon was undercooked: not crispy, and one of the strips was quite literally still raw. my hashbrowns were fine, but they needed salt and pepper.
my friend and i sat and waited for someone to come over, and i don’t fault any of the staff for taking a bit to come over to us, but after waiting, we just wanted to leave. the waitress who did help us said we didn’t have to pay for anything and that was incredibly sweet, since i did order a coffee and...
