China Garden — Restaurant in Dunn

OMG do not order from here. I never leave reviews like this - but , thank god, my company expense paid for this: Uber eats for less than 1.5 miles away but I was exhausted after meeting an and needed hotel delivery. Here we go: the steak on a stick was literally inedible, it was so tough I could barely chew it. The chicken on a stick was your typical, very pink red colored dark meat, and it was actually one of the only things that I could eat and I know I’ll regret it tomorrow. I also ordered the Fantale shrimp appetizer and I made it a double order because I figured it might be like my main entrée and it was literally these large squares of batter with the very tiny shrimp on one end and it was completely not cooked. I have never seen anything like this before , I ordered the shrimp roll that was listed as a top seller and it was literally half the size of an eggroll with nothing but shredded cabbage and I think three little shrimp inside. I also ordered the steamed dumplings. They were not steamed. They were in a plastic container full of some weird sauce and I could only eat a half of one and that was being forceful because I was starving. Always been decent food for the price, especially their lunch specials. The interior is very dirty, and they definitely don't clean their tables except the bare minimum, but this is probably because nobody complains because 99% of their customers take out and don't eat inside, but it begs the question if they won't worry about the cleanliness and presentation to their customers of the dining room, then what is hiding behind the counter in their kitchen. They do buy local meats for their cooking as I've personally rang up one of the owners multiple times when she was buying meats at the local grocery I am employed at, so that was a plus.
