It's... Okay. Like, it's not very expensive for what you're getting, and the menu has a nice variety. However, there seems to be a consistent issue with drink trays being unavailable. Sometimes they have them, but most of the time they do not. The other day, we went through the drive through, and the man at the window told us there were no drink trays (we had 5 or so drinks), and there was a stack behind him, which we did bring up, and we did get a tray. Like, I don't think they'd have any reason to hoard drink trays but jeez, man. Also, my sister cannot eat meat. Like, it's not her being on a diet, she literally just cannot and has never been able to stomach it. Because of this she usually gets a CHEESE quesadilla tray with fries. Well, in the year or so we've been coming here for food, they have consistently given her chicken quesadillas. I can understand it happening a few times every now and again, but the issue is so common that we usually have to check before we pull out, or we'll go to the parking lot beside the building to check. Yesterday, we did that. They gave us chicken quesadillas instead of cheese. My dad went up to the window and exchanged the tray. Which, I don't think they're supposed to take food back but whatever. When we got the tray, we made sure to check it again, just in case. Well, turns out, they gave us chicken quesadillas again. Not only that, they gave us the same quesadillas (we could tell because you could see where my dad had torn them open to check). So, my dad went back up to the window, and the woman was nice and all, she even said that she'd make the quesadillas herself. Which she did, or we think she did since she did go back into the kitchen. And she did it right, too, so good on her. But she shouldn't have had to. I understand that sometimes when you're going really fast in a kitchen, it's easy to overlook a few things. If the number of cars in the drive thru are any indicator, they're usually up to their nose in orders, it seems. They may even be understaffed. I don't blame the kitchen workers, they are providing a service to me, but, sheesh man. Surely, there's gotta be some way to keep track of that sort of thing. But, in the end, quesadillas are just one menu item and I can't just brutalize them for THAT. Sometimes, the burgers taste like gas or lighter fluid (if that makes any sense?) Like, very chemical-y.
But, like, I'd still reccomend this place even after all of my criticisms. Truly, you get a good bang for your buck here, I like the food more than I like Bojangles' food. Way better than Burger King. They usually have good tea, and it's one of the few places I can think of that has Cheerwine on their drink menu, too. I don't know if they still have the fried cheese curds or not. But if they do,...
Read moreMy daughter and I were on a video chat. She was sharing with me how she loves to eat a cook out due to the amount of food for the money. We continued chatting while she was eating. All of a sudden she started to freak out and pulled a gold charm from her mouth. Sitting there in dismay - she said I cannot believe I just had that in my mouth. Really who cleans their jewelry on a regular bases and she when to the bathroom of her home and threw up her meal she just ate from freaking the hell out. She wanted to call up there directly but cannot - she only finds a 1-800 # this is so unacceptable. I had her to immediately take pics and keep everything in tact. PICTURES ATTACHED - gross factor 100 %. She had went there after work to grab a quick lunch before going to her kids school for a book fair. Currently- she is attending that but as her MOTHER I cannot let this lay. I have to let others know to be careful of the XTRAS that could be in your food. She went today and at 1:27 pm is when actual factual pictures were snapped by her phone. She is mentally stressing this and what the hell was in her mouth.
We are both aware of no dangling jewelry in food prep areas for this reason alone - so how in the hell did this end up INSIDE her quesadilla wrapped by their typically aluminum foil.
I have wrote in to COOK OUT the same details and contact information but waiting to hear from someone.
TRUTHFULLY, I am wondering what could you possible offer to make this right. Definitely - NO FOOD please. She may never be able to swallow COOK OUT food again. Hoping to hear from someone today - please.
ATTENTION: If you are the employee that lost your charm to day at the DUNN, NC location can you please tell your manager. This is a serious thing when it's almost swallowed while eating prepared & paid for...
Read more-Here I am a year later and this place is still terrible. I first come through the first lane and I wait for 10 minutes before the girl tells me to go through the second lane. So I do but then when this other car pulls up she takes their order even though I was the only car in the first lane and there were two cars in the second lane. I had placed two separate orders and apparently they forgot that we had a whole second order. So I had to go back around. This place has terrible customer service skills and I think that all their employees need to go through a training course or either get better managers. They also forgot my second side in my tray which was the cheese bites. If you are looking to go somewhere with good customer service, don’t ever go here. This place is absolutely ridiculous.
[I’m only giving one star because the food here is pretty good but the service is absolutely terrible. There has only been one time where the service was good and it was when a girl was working the drive thru. When that guy works at night he is so rude and disrespectful and I don’t understand how they allow someone with such poor customer service skills still work here. Last night me and my friends came through and she ordered a quesadilla and he said they were out. Then we get to the window and ask for straws because they weren’t in our bags and some ranch and he said they were out of both. I just don’t understand why they let someone who doesn’t care his job work...
