The first time I came to hwy 55 it was my first experience. So I did not have any expectations. We went as a family in the evening. The food was pretty good I thought and it was very busy, so I figured the place is good enough to try again.
This review is for the second time we went as a family. We arrived at about 7pm. There were very few cars in the lot and it was very dark inside so we almost just kept driving because it did not appear to be open.
The entire staff on hand were very young adults, and some people who wete not 18. They lacked all urgency and wete playing around with eachother and talking on their headsets. One guy even smacked one of the other girls on the butt and my son saw it.
Our hostess was very young and didnt seem to know what she was doing. She took our order for drinks after we sat ourselves andd she brought the wrong drinks out so we had to wait for her to get the correct ones.
The woman who was our waitress... it almost seemed like she had an issue with us wanting out burgers to be a specific way. All we wanted is cheese and lettuce on the burgers so we could put the toppings on ourself. I also ordered tater tots. When our order came out my burger was wrong and they gave me cold fries and not even tater tots. My kids ordered chili cheese fries and we did not get. I had to walk by burger over to the kitchen area to ask for lettuce because no one checked on us to see how our food was for quite a while after our food was delivered. The waitresses and hostesses were playing around with the guys working in the kitchen. Then I realized that they had delivered French fries and not the tater tots that I wanted, I was going to just eat them but my girlfriend had started getting irritated at that point also so she went and got the tater tots for me.
I would not recommend going to this hwy55 to anyone....
Read moreThis was the first time for my wife and Myself to eat at the new location. The food was excellent and was warm. Much better than old location. Taste was perfect for the shrimp I ordered. The wait staff was very knowledgeable on menu items and what could be swapped and interchangeable. The waitress was very attentive and made sure we didn't need anything while we ate. The atmosphere was more enjoyable than the old location and the staff had more of a positive and reassuring nature than the other two locations we had tried previously. The only down I have for our visit is the bus bot. I understand the companies want to include more technology and items that cause people to talk to bring in more traffic. If that was the purpose of the robot server I cool with it but if it was to actually work and help the staff. There could be more updates and configuration to the system to make the bus bot more efficient with time. The lady could have brought our food out in mere seconds to where the bot had to stop multiple times to check surroundings and nothing was close to it. It could just be in early stages if it is I apologize. But overall it was a very good...
Read moreWent to dine in and the location was really busy, so we were asked about sitting outside to eat, which was fine. After around 15 minutes with no one coming to take our order and being on a time crunch, I went to ask approximately how long a to-go order would take to see if I had time to wait. I was told around 10 minutes, so I went ahead and placed my order. After 15 minutes, it still wasn't ready and hadn't even appeared on the queue yet, so I had to leave and have someone else I was with wait to pick it up for me for later. It still took another 10 minutes for it to be done after I left.
A few days later, I decided to go through the drive-thru and give it another try. There were relatively few customers at the time I went, so the food was ready relatively fast this time. However, when I opened my food after getting home, the chicken tenders were burnt, and the dipping sauce I requested was missing.
It was not a great experience, and I would not recommend to others based on...
