Strong competition for the other Mexican restaurants in the area. The food was very good. We split the Molcajete entree and the cheese dip - plenty for two people with small appetites. The dip had great flavor and, while not too spicy, had plenty of peppers in the mix. The Molcajete had a mix of chicken, steak, and shrimp and had plenty of chorizo and cheese for flavor. The salsa is very flavorful - starting out the meal with a good appetizer. We didn't get drinks from the bar but those served around us looked to be good sized and people seemed to be enjoying them. The new owners are giving the old "Silver Diner" some love with some updates inside and out. We particularly liked the "star" lighting fixtures. All the staff were nice and attentive. Despite a note on the door asking for patience with the new staff in the newly opened restaurant, the team already seemed to be working in sync and we didn't observe any glitches or delays. The only item of note was the limited number of physical menus which were supplemented with a QR code (photo attached). Kudos to the staff, management, and owners. We will certainly be back.

I went there way back and forgot to write the review - But I'm currently sitting in a car and writing reviews because I'm bored and waiting to dd for my sister. Anyways, the food here is amazing. I got a chimichanga and just from that one plate alone, I ended up being pretty full. It was juicy and decadent and creamy and chewy in all the right ways. The chips and salsa were also good. You could tell that they were fresh, and they didn't have that "old oil" taste to them that you can get in other local spots. I also got the... I think its called super guacamole or something, it had some sort of distinction from regular guacamole, but I didn't end up eating too much of it because it had a very forward cilantro taste, and the taste bud gods have not blessed me with a tongue that doesn't taste soap when I eat cilantro, but that's only my own fault for not mentioning my aversion beforehand, not theirs. In any case, their presentation was on point, with it being served in a molcahete. Anyways, here's some photos.

Customer services top notch the chicken soup could actually function as a meal instead of a side dish it's that good.... Hopefully they could find another vendor for their brownies or delete them from the menu they're almost identical to little debbies if I was asked to return I would go back there's reason why most of the staff eats the chicken soup if they wouldn't have offered it as a side to the Spacey steak tacos I received I wouldn't know about it. It's definitely made with great care and the chicken is not pre processed cubes and they're quite large and you can cut them down with a spoon that's the remnants of the stuff left in the bowl and the chicken they serve you is actually larger than that but it's so tender it's slow cooked in that broth it's just delicious in my opinion that's what saved this meal.. Coming back to try their signature dish..... Let you know how it goes...

Where to even begin!?

This was hands-down one of the best dining experiences my girlfriend and I have had in a long time. To start, we ordered the guacamole and chorizo dip for the table, and both were every bit as delicious as they sounded—absolutely bursting with flavor. I had a cocktail that, unfortunately, I can’t recall the name of, but my girlfriend had the Christmas Surprise cocktail, which was fun, festive, and incredibly tasty.

For my entrée, I had an incredible steak, chorizo, and barbacoa platter served on a bed of rice and beans. Every bite was a flavor explosion—it truly exceeded my expectations. While I can’t remember my girlfriend’s exact order off the top of my head, we both agreed the food was so good it left us planning our next visit before we even finished the meal.

The cocktails weren’t just delicious; they added a fun twist to the whole experience, and our server went above and beyond, answering all of my questions about the menu and drink options with patience and expertise.

Not only will we be returning, but we’ve also started a list of friends and family who we absolutely have to bring along so they can experience how amazing this place is too.

If I had one tiny critique, it would be that their menu isn’t fully updated online, which made it harder to remember the names of the incredible dishes we enjoyed. But honestly, that’s a small issue compared to how phenomenal everything else was.

Ay Wey Mexican Kitchen is a must-visit for anyone who loves bold flavors, great drinks, and fantastic service. We can’t wait...

Went here tonight for our Daughter's 11th birthday per her request. We have been here multiple times before and loved it every time. Tonight was different and not a pleasant time at all. Our waitress was horrible, it took her quite a while to bring us our drinks and then waited about 20 minutes to come back and ask us for our order. It took an hour for our food to arrive and the place wasn't very busy at all. In that hour time our waitress came back just one time. After we started receiving the food we noticed that my wife's food was completely wrong and they had to make her the correct order again. After it was brought out it was still wrong missing over half of the ingredients. After that our waitress was rather fired or quit because she grabbed her stuff and walked out. It seemed like she was overwhelmed with the tables she had and was getting "talked to" by the manager a few times. Once we got a new waiter things were smooth after that like it normally is. This was about 15 minutes or so before we left though so we already had a not so great time. The food was still delicious as always but between the kitchen and the waitress tonight it was not the birthday dinner our daughter was hoping for.

Update 3-30-24: Went here again tonight! We were very happy and pleased that things were back to normal with excellent...

Went here last night with my family and we had a very pleasant experience for a decent price. The food servings are large. We are a family of five (two adults, three elementary aged children) and we ordered three entrees to split between us, and still had leftovers to take home. We also ordered two drinks. I had whatever the margarita special was, and it was definitely NOT some generic slushy machine premix junk like you usually get for the bargain margarita. It was good. My wife got a rather expensive specialty drink, and I believe it was worth the price. It was served in a whole hollowed-out pineapple with a generous amount of pineapple slices around the outside, and the drink inside had a pleasant taste which belied the potent strength. We were at a bit over 100 dollars after a good tip. Not bad at all. And the service was excellent, too. The waiter was there when he was needed, and left us in peace when we hasn't needed. No showing up to ask me how everything is 0.00242 seconds after I take a bite of food. Food was also very good. There's a ton of Mexican/Tex-Mex restaurants out there. If you're going to go to one, might as well go to a good one....
