My wife and I had an awesome meal at Yamato Japanese Restaurant tonight. We both shared and enjoyed the Volcano & Pearl Sushi, along with Yaki Steak, a Ginger Salad, & Japanese Sweet Carrots. We topped it off with a beautiful House Chardoney for my wife, and my absolute favorite Sweet Tea with Lime.
This has certainly been the best experience we've had overall in a while. What made our night extra special was our wonderful server, Jega.
Jega was so professional and extremely polite, and always checked to make sure our meals were to our satisfaction, and that we received everything we needed periodically throughout our dining experience.
We will most definitely return for more awesome experiences and cuisine in the future, as well as, singing their praises and recommendation to all who seek an outstanding value and to be treated like royalty.
Please try Yamato soon for your dinning delight. Once you do, you'll ask yourself, "why did I take so long to try this before now?"

Read moreThe food has always been great, but when I went last night there were multiple bugs crawling on and underneath our table. Water bugs/stink bug/ bugs that loooked like roaches. I still left a $10 tip on the table and when we get to the register the short dude at the front (manger) I’m assuming was telling my friend that he HAD to put a tip on the credit card. After we had already left a tip. We told him no and he proceeded to tell us we had to put down a tip. He was extremely rude about it and was huffing and puffing. Later on that night money was taken out of my credit card and it was the amount he made my friend put on the check. We will not be returning, there are too many bugs, the manager is rude and has no human decency. It would not surprise me if he does this to other customers as well/ or write tips of his own on others credit receipts…. I do not recommend if you’re looking to get good service and atmosphere along...

She could not understand or speak English very well.Had to repeat myself several times.Come in If you are going to have restaurant here at least have people who speak well. Asked about senior or veteran discount. She couldn't understand. She was told to give 10percent. She charged my card full price.Called the next day to speak to the manager. Wanted to know who I was and why I was calling. Very rude. Finally got a manager but no help there.Told me to come back and they would give me credit on my next meal or give me a cash refund. The he said he would go credit my card which he never did. The food was terrible. Rice was dry and salty. Steak was too tough to chew. If you want good Japanese food go to the Chop Sticks in Lillington. The food is better and the price is better. And you can understand them Will never go back to...
