I see a lot of comments saying that the service at this Wendys suck but I worked at this Wendy's for a whole year up until this Saturday and they have some amazing sweet employees! The problem is the new GM! She is very rude to her employees especially the teenagers! She yells at them (in front of customers) for the most stupid reasons! It also has gotten very nasty! I know blue cheese is already old cheese but it is not suppose to have a very bad sour smell that you can smell from a distance and I tried to tell her that but she want having it and made it out like I was stupid! Also the frosty machines are suppose to be cleaned everynight after close, but not that way anymore! Maybe twice a week now! I got in trouble because I wouldn't sell my 8yr old cousin a frosty because she already has stomach issues and she got mad and asked why I wouldn't sell my cousin one and I told her that I'm not giving her an old nasty frosty and let her stomach get messed up and she have to go to the hospital! So much worse stuff is going on there, it is the worst place I have EVER worked at! Also I got fired because I had gotten really sick and had a fever and would not stop coughing this really nasty cough so I went to call out because who would want that to be making there sandwich?! I wouldn't!! And she said that I wasn't allowed to call out, I have to come in and she will tell me if I'm sick or not! I told her that I lived 20mins away and my mom had told me that I'm to sick to work so she told me to call out and already left to go home so I didn't have a ride to take me and I could barely talk so you could just hear that I was to sick. Well she told me that Wendy's didn't need me anymore and to not come back. I was so upset but now I feel like not so stressed out anymore! So the management is the problem! I wish I could tell you more that goes on behind the counters but I'll be writing a book! So it would be best to not give that Wendy's your time...
Read moreMy total was $19.20. At the first window, the cashier takes my $20 bill without the change ($0.20) in my outreached hand. Gives me no change back. She finally notices my outreached hand is still there after I said “mam” several times. She takes the $0.20 from me. Still no change back. I then confirmed the total and said I believe you owe me $1 mam. Looks at me with the worst attitude, like it’s my fault she can’t use the register to calculate or count change back. Manager had to be called to give me my $1. At window 2, I’m handed a frosty smaller than I paid for, and a bag with a missing sandwich what seemed like an hour later. After asking for ketchup and a receipt twice, the window is closed. Meanwhile, a worker stocking ice is singing a Dr Suess song and everyone is pretend talking on their microphones taking orders. How do I know? There’s no car behind me. After I arrive home, I notice the wrappers to the 3 sandwiches look like they had been used atleast 42 times before they touched my sandwiches. Disgusted and no longee hungry, I called the store. I was hung up on. I called back, giving them the benefit of the doubt someone made another mistake. I was told they don’t sell fish sandwiches. Yes, the 3 fish sandwiches I just purchased. She hung up. I called back. Tiffany told me my phone was staticky (a landline) and hung up. I guess they make a game od it when the phone rings, passing customers off to different employees to prank. I tried to call corporate, no answer. I can’t fill out their survey because I don’t have the receipt I asked for to report the store and order number. They have it all figured out obviously. Never will I be disrespected by these individuals again. I hope all Wendy’s locations haven’t evolved into this one, where you spend money, have to ask for change back if you are owed any, receive less product than you paid for, and are consistently and grossly disrespected during the...
Read moreMe, my mother and my granddaughter go to Wendy’s a lot. We go through the drive thru most of the time. Today we decided to go inside and have a nice sit down lunch where it is cool. Let me start off on a positive note. We love Wendy’s in Erwin, NC! The staff is so friendly and helpful! Today was no different as far as the staff goes and how we were treated. But when I first walked in, the little entry area had a really bad, musty smell. I went to use the restroom before ordering and it smell like raw sewage! Not like someone had just used it, it was different. Had to struggle to get passed that. Went up to the counter to order and the counter looked as if there had been a spill that had not been cleaned up and there were flies crawling on it. Yes I could have just left but I’m thinking, they’re just busy and will get around to it. I’ve worked in fast food so I tend to try to put myself in their shoes. Also, there were lots of flies in the dining area and tables that needed to be wiped. All in all, the place just has a smell. I’m saying all this to bring it to someone’s attention so it can be worked on, not to condemn and criticize. Just constructive criticism. Like I said before, I love Wendy’s and want to be able to continue taking my mom and granddaughter on our little outings! We enjoy it so much! Thanks for...
