I've been here probably 3 times before, but this was ultimately the worst experience I've had. Since everything else is generally closed after 8/9pm this was the closest sit down place for my friend and I to go after the gym. Not only was the waiter inattentive, but the stage performer was absolutely tone deaf to the point where my meal tasted worse and worse by the minute. I don't think they vet their performers at all. So here's the run down. There were two people for wait staff this night. Our waiter was both a bartender and a server. He sits down casually and I first order my seafood rolls appetizer, then the clam pasta and wine sauce entrée. My friend orders herself a Caesar salad appetizer and spaghetti with 2 meatballs entrée. She asks for a Mike's Hard Lemonade and they only carry the original flavor; no biggie. Her salad comes out and the bread for my meal follows. I sit waiting patiently for my appetizer. I assume it's just taking longer to prepare due to the seafood. As we sit and talk trying to drown out the garbled howling from the performer, our entrees come out. Her plate is 90% sauce, mine is in pretty decent shape so I eat but she's picking at her plate; to salty and barely any spaghetti. She wont eat it. The waiter finally comes back around after 15 mins or so and asks us how everything is going. I ask him where my seafood rolls are and he has a confused facial expression. My friend verifies that I ordered them and he replies "I must not have been listening." Well, that's not the first thing I want to hear, so I deny his request to have them made at that point; I'm basically through my entrée. My friend brings up that the spaghetti is barely edible. He pauses and decides to comp the meal since it was barely touched. I get the bill and when i tell you that a plate of spaghetti sauce and noodles cost $18 and EACH meatball costs $4... I'm floored. $26 for a quarter box of spaghetti, canned tomatoes and (2) meatballs? Nope. They probably wont be seeing us for a long time. I'm sure they have better options on the menu, however, this experience alone was off-putting.
Edit to reply to owner: First off, everything was paid for BUT the meal that wasn't consumed; the spaghetti meal in question. Secondly, you obviously weren't reading my review. The complaint was about a meal that didn't SHOW UP AT ALL. Not "showed up late." Also, you're absolutely right. I did fail to mention how busy it was at the time we were present - not that busy at all. Maybe more busy than usual...say 10 or 15 people? The tables were pretty empty. Don't worry. With your attitude and bored staff I don't have a need to return to poor service and overpriced spaghetti....
Read moreThis visit was truly a joke. We arrived for 8pm reservation about 10min early. We were acknowledged by waitstaff about 10 min after 8pm. We waited for a waitress to take our drink order .. she didnt know the seasonal beers on tap but went to check and took our drink order .. we were never given menus. We had to ask a group at the next table if we could have one of theirs. The waitress came back and didnt know the difference between two specials (without mushrooms was $3 more than with mushrooms) .. she was apologetic to being understaffed but we expressed frustration that we made this reservation 5 weeks ago. They knew they had entertainment and the number of guests coming and should have staffed accordingly. We eventually ordered our meals and waited. The entres we wanted were no longer available. So we decided on other entrees. It was over an hour no aps .. no dinner .. had to go to the bar for a refill. After an hour and a half of waiting still no food! When the entrees came we had no utensils, no napkins, and still no apps. We had to ask for utensiles at the bar and were given plastic forks. We told them to forget the apps at this point. My food was correct but my friend ordered their signiture meat ravioli that had no meat in it. Near the end of the entertainment we went to the bar to refill drinks. When asking for a clean class we were told if we have one more negative comment we will be asked to leave! (For a clean glass?) We stayed for the end of the show and asked for our check. We gave them our credit card in the beginning of the night because they said they couldnt take cash... we asked to be closed out saw and they included a 20% gratuity! This was not even worth the fight at this point .. we were given no pen .. no line to sign .. no second receipt .. they gave us back our card ... we thought we were closed out .. (it was a horrible experience but we were not about to cheat them out of money) they literally found us in the parking lot and banged on our car in the parking lot saying they needed approval to run payment. We told them it is ok to charge the card and left. We understand being shortstaffed is a problem and the service industry is certainly taking a beating in this area... that being said id have to think for a long time to produce a worse experience than Ive had at arturos. The food was good but I can go to 100 other restaurants in the valley and get quality food with waitstaff-in-training and have a better evening. If my daughter's birthday party or mother's funeral reception were going to be at Arturos I...
Read moreThis was some of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. First off, they didn’t have any notification they were having their “holiday menu” where they added one or two special things but otherwise just doubled or tripled the prices of food that was already available. Real “holiday” spirit. Secondly, the service was awful. We were first in the dining room and the most tables seated were 2-3 others of very small parties (2-3 people) and it still took our waitress 15 minutes to even bring us the menus, or our waters and coffee before we even ordered. She dropped just about everything she took, either right in front of us on the table or onto the floor, and consistently left us without drinks. The only thing that saved this review from being a one-star was the quality of the entrees. They were good! Much better in comparison with everything else. Desserts however - terrible. I’ve eaten tons of tiramisu and whatever they’re serving isn’t that. It’s thick, hard, waxy and bland. The lava cake was fine at best. All in all, a very disappointing experience and not only do I feel as if I was a burden on the staff and unwanted there, I feel like we were preyed upon for the holidays and had been absolutely robbed with their prices. If it wasn’t for the other two people my partner and I were with, we would’ve left just because of the menu switch alone. I don’t recommend this place, but CERTAINLY don’t go anywhere near the holiday...
