Literally the best meal I have eaten since moving to NC. I do not even know where to begin with this wonderful place. The food is amazing,! Fresh, flavorful, creative, and it is real italian food. The bread and pasta are made daily. DAILY and homemade! The foccacia bread and the ciabatta were to die for. So light, and flavorful with such a nice bite. We had bruch and the frittata, strata, homefries, buns, everythng was spot on with balance, flavor, and freshness. The food is very high quality, made with fresh ingredients and you can taste it in every bite. I had an opportunity to speak to the chef. What a great guy! Humble, super friendly and loving what he is doing. His food is infused with his passion for cooking. The atmoshphere of both venues is beautiful. It feels like walking into a movie set from a 1920s goden era movie. The vibe just eminates, history, passion, preservation of traditions. You will not be disappointed if you eat at either of these places. I highly recommend it and I plan on taking friends and family...

The sandwiches served during weekday lunch hours here are divine. They are perfectly made EVERY time I go. The muffuletta is the best I’ve had anywhere. The bread is the perfect consistency and soaks up the brine from the olive salad like a delicious sponge. You can order ahead online and pick up, or just walk in, grab a table or barstool and someone will take your order from there. I recommend the window seat facing Main Street with a tall glass of Peroni Italian Pilsner. We went here while visiting Durham because of the high google reviews, and let me tell you - it did NOT disappoint! We sat at the bar since they were pretty busy and being able to observe the staff at work was incredible - this place was a well oiled machine. Now the FOOD!
