Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Durham

I have eaten at this Chick-fil-a location many times and have received overall good, friendly service. (I think there has only been one time that there was an issue with my order).

I took the time to leave a review today because of the excellent customer service provided by Carmel.

This morning I ordered and prepaid for breakfast via the app. When I arrived for curbside pick-up (arriving right before the end of breakfast), the app informed me that my order had been cancelled.

I hadn't just ordered for myself, but for my entire family and an out-of-town guest. So this was a (relatively) big deal.

Carmel came out to curbside pick-up to serve another customer and I explained my issue to her. I couldn't believe that my order was unknowingly cancelled as I was driving to pick it up, totally unaware. However Carmel was very polite and understanding and worked with me until the issue was resolved, while I'm sure she was also serving other customers and supporting her team.

I'll have to return another day (much earlier than the end of breakfast) for my bacon (well-done!) egg and cheese biscuit. ;-) But interacting with Carmel made what could have easily been a totally disappointing morning into a much brighter spot in my day. Thanks...

I was here at 1pm today and order for mobile pickup. The parking lot was completely full with the drive through line exceeding space available on the property and there were employees stationed across the lot, funneling and taking orders, all wearing their own unique Level 3 safety reflectors. This staff was very pleasant, focused, and rapid in their performance. There were employees working as runners across the lot surprising drivers with their orders before they were able to make it halfway to the pickup window. There was also a wheelchair user employee placed effectively and comfortably in his own area of operation where we could best be utilized. I noticed a manager on-site named Stephen who was leading this crew from the parking lot, working as a runner himself. I could tell the employees were gaining a lot of energy and morale by working closely with a manager that leads by example. My wife and I were very impressed by this incredible performance of efficiency. I do not post reviews often, i just had to take time out of my day to recognize and describe this awesome performance. I wish Stephen and his team could run parking for events at Dix Park then i wouldn’t be missing the opening acts every year...

I've been eating Chick-fil-A for lunch every few days for the past 2 years. I've only ever had one item from the menu and that's the number 1 Chick-fil-A chicken. I usually order two Chick-fil-A sauces to go along with my meal, that way I can use some on my sandwich and some for my fries. I like to choose Powerade to drink since I usually do a lot of physical activity and need to get hydrated for lunch. My favorite part about Chick-fil-A is how fast they get your order out. Usually I'll go wash my hands after I order and by the time I get back my food is ready to eat. They also bring it to your table which is a nice perk and if you say thank you they will tell you that it's their pleasure. It gets awkward pleasuring all the employees after a while but luckily I eat pretty fast and I can leave before all the pleasure gets too overwhelming. I almost forgot to mention the fries, they come in a waffle form. It takes some time getting used to waffle fries but at least they're better for the environment. They carve each fry out of a full potato so with the waffle fries you can get a little more fry volume per potato compared to McDonald's where they have to grow a whole bag of potatoes for...
