On Jan. 6th, I had a terrible experience at this store. My girlfriend purchased $1000 worth of chairs and lamps for her home. She asked me to pick up her chairs after work. She sent me an electronic copy of the receipt and had already confirmed my name with the wonderful young lady, Tee, who had helped her with the purchase. When I get to the store, thatās when all my problems started. The supervisor, Ashley, was eyeing me and treating my very disrespectfully. I may have looked dirty with my work uniform on but my name was on my shirt! Ashley was looking for every excuse to not give me those chairs. When Tee pointed to the chairs and I picked them up, the supervisor had some choice words for Tee. All I know, thereās no way in hell I was leaving that store without my girlfriendās chairs. I love my life too much. Iām glad Tee was able to give me great customer service but the management at this location really needs to get it together! A regular guy like me wouldnāt just be there outta the blue to pick up fancy chairs. I had a receipt on my phone and it still wasnāt good enough. As I entered the breeze way of the HomeGoods, I politely said āhelloā to a staff member and got NO RESPONSE just to found out later that this lady was a manager on duty. Less than 5 seconds later, my next encounter was with another staff member who offers no type of formal greeting but unapologetically blurts out āthe store closes in 10 minutesā as if to say āhow dare you walk in here so close to closingā.
When I raised the matter to the managers attention, I was offered very nonchalant and patronizing apologies, which is probably because she too was part of the problem. I understand that customers entering a store close to closing can be daunting for any employee but, what they didnāt know is I drove 1 hour to pick up an item I placed on hold earlier that day. I located that item and I was standing at the register within 1 min of me being there. My time in the store, factoring in the disingenuous conversation with the manager, took less than 5 mins.

You never have to dig for items, mirrors and wall decor are in size order so you donāt have to worry about something falling on you. Bedding is in size order and bath items are color coordinated! Even the dog beds are in fabulous order! Aisles are more clear at this location, so thereās room for all the carts. Service here is horrific! Iāve been to this location numerous times, different days of the week, and different times. So itās not like one person was having a bad day. EVERYONE is rude (management included), cold, itās clear youāre annoying to them, and donāt ask for help unless you want an eye roll. They rushed the transaction didnāt ask for my rewards card which I presented, didnāt wrap my frames, and was overall rude. Donāt ask for help with bringing an item to your car, the associate will be gone by the time you bring the car around! And they offered to help me btw!!! If itās such a problem and it takes so much time out of your day, I can do it myself. If anything I helped your conversation. Iāve learned my lesson...
