Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Durham

If you’re looking for a masterclass in how not to run a fast-food joint, this Church’s Chicken location is the place to go. I recently had a rather disappointing experience at Church's Chicken that I feel compelled to share. I placed my order via the app at 5:30 PM, with a promised pickup time of 6:05 PM. Arriving just five minutes late, I was met with confusion and cold stares; my order hadn't even been started. This is a Joke and questions in the app's very purpose.

At 6:10 PM, I was told it would be an additional 15-minute wait for Spicy Chicken, which seemed reasonable. However, this quickly turned into a 70-minute ordeal, during which the staff showed no sense of urgency or professionalism. No visible empathy to all other customers waiting perpetually.

To add insult to injury, my order was incomplete when I finally received it at 7:20 PM. Missing items like biscuits and jalapenos were only provided after I checked and requested.

I hope someone takes actions towards improving the service standards, especially since the food was hot, fresh, and bursting with flavor! 1 star is just for that.

If you have infinite patience, zero expectations, and a craving for chaos, this is your spot. Otherwise, save yourself the drama and go literally...

If I could rate this lower, I definitely would. First time trying. Went in to order, the restaurant was filthy and incredibly hot. The lady that took the order had no business in customer service. She was incredibly rude and in a hurry despite NO other customers. She kept saying "that it?" And kept getting items wrong. Then, she flat out lied to my face when I asked if she put the sauces in. Mind you, I had watched every move she made and she did not put them in, but said she did. Then, when I said, no ma'am, they are not in here, she came over and jerked the bag from my hand and went through the food without gloves. Finally, she grabbed 1 sauce and through it in the bag so rough that the sauce busted. And the cook in the back talked nonstop to another co-worker very loudly. Normally, who cares? Except that every other word that came out of his mouth was profanity. After 1 bite from the old and stale biscuit and 1 cold and dry french fry, I trashed the rest of the order. I love Church's Chicken. Every time l go to Greensboro l get some and bring it home even if I have already eaten. This time l was extremely disappointed. It was in Durham NC. I left Raleigh airport and googled to find a Church's chicken. Tthe building sets in a triangle lot. When l pulled up on the side, it lioked like it was closed and no signs on the side.There was one on front. The 1st thing l encounter is a guy trying to bum money. He hit me up again on the way out. The girl that waited on me was nice and jolly. When I started heading back home and snacking on my food, the green beans were watery and the 'meat" particals in them tasted old. The chicken tasted like old grease and the biscuit was broken up all over the place and no buttery flavor. Your biscuits are usually the best. THEN l took a sip of the lemonade. It was awful like it was made in dirty water. I threw it away. I may still try one in Greensboro but...
