Funnel Me Crazy — Restaurant in Durham

I’m giving this place a two even though the funnel cakes and the Oreos were great what I experienced as far as customer service was not great their system apparently was down and I’m inside of the store to purchase. We were told that we had to go on Uber eats to order things so because my son and I were looking forward to this, I didn’t want to disappoint him so we order it on the Uber eats app but while ordering I noticed that the prices were Two times almost what the original cost was in the store. I asked the young lady are they going to discount anything or are they going to be able to credit us back or anything and she was very nasty and had a very horrible attitude for being in customer service . The other young lady was nice enough to take my phone number down and give it to the manager, which she claimed that she was going to Well however, I didn’t leave right away. I sat in the parking lot I watched this woman go back-and-forth whom I thought was nice and to me looks like the paper went in the trash and they were standing there discussing me as I’m sitting there, watching reading their lips today is Sunday, it’s been at least three days now and I still have yet to hear from the manager even though I like the tasty treats because of lack of customer service and a lack of a follow up and I feel like I was being scammed because clearly your register looked as if it was on and you rebooted it right in front of me and I could see that it was on, but you were charging us twice the price on Uber eats and paying unnecessary fees when I’m standing right inside of your establishment that is not a good business practice. It is also not a good business practice for the manager to not follow up with a customer who has an issue so for that is why they receive this rating and I barely wanted to give you were too see customer service and satisfaction go along way there hand-in-hand so if you want these ratings to keep going up and getting good reviews I’d say take some practices on what real customer service...

Woweee wow wow!!!! There aren’t words adequate enough to describe the devine confectionery creations from Funnel Me Crazy!! Get in your car and go there now! The other reviews were accurate about the long line, but it did move relatively quickly and was well worth the wait. I expected a good funnel cake based on the reviews. I did not expect what I actually got… quite possibly the best tasting food I’ve ever eaten. It was so delicious that I went back inside when we finished just to tell them how absolutely amazing the funnel cake was. Please forgive the pic. I’d cut it in half by the time I thought about taking a pic. Yes the funnel cake was phenomenal, however it tastes as if all the ingredients including the fruit, ice cream, and whipped cream (albeit redi whip) were of the highest quality. The flavors culminate in a confectionary climax. The only reason I haven’t been back already is because of the calories. It will be a treat that I will periodically indulge.

We split a regular size peach cobbler (I think that was the name) funnel cake. 1 of us doesn’t like extremely sweet desserts, the other could mainline sugar. Verdict… we both thought it was amazingly yummy.

Update: I still really like it, but it’s hit or miss so I lowered it from a 5. I think part of it may be using fresh produce which is amazing during peak season, but not so much in winter. Definitely must eat it there, otherwise it just doesn’t taste as good once it cools down. Still better than the ones at the fair and a really neat...

Y'ALL what can I say!!!??? Love this place! My friends and I usually catch this for an after church sweet delight. Our first visit it was pretty quiet but the latest visit was bananas! The wait was kinda long but bay-bee we were not leaving without the funnel goodness. The team worked so well together to serve everyone as quickly as possible and everyone waiting was chill because we knew it was going to be worth it. Pictured is the Cookie Monster. My second visit I had the Snickers(sorry no evidence of this delight lol). I usually get the mini which is quite enough to quench my sweet tooth. Pricing is fair in my opinion and I've been told the lemonades are great but haven't tried it yet. Also of note everything I've tried is not overly sweet which I appreciate. We definitely need one in Raleigh. It's also black owned so please support this business so...
