Heavenly Buffaloes — Restaurant in Durham

I'm really disappointed in this place. Not at all what I expected after hearing about this place from a friend and reading the reviews. Also this was an extremely expensive meal for what it is so from that and the reviews, I had no doubt this place was going to be amazing! Well turns out I was very wrong. First of all the sweet potato fries were not sweet at all. I asked if they had a sweet buttery dipping sauce or anything for them and they recommend their garlic dry rub so I just took their word for it. I was also mistaken for that. Those are the worst sweet potato fries I've ever had. Dry and weird flavor. They need a sweet flavor if your going to put any kind of rub on them. Now let's talk about the chicken. I got bone in wings for my wife with hot and terriyaki flavors which they made me get two orders of 7 in order to get two flavors for her. The hot wings were dry and flavorless. The terriyaki was also dry but had decent flavor. I got bone out on mine and got garlic garlic garlic and hot as well. The hot wings were again a major let down only this time the we're very saucy but the sauce was disgusting. I've never heard of nasty hot wings but I couldn't even stomach these wings. They tasted like blue cheese which if I wanted blue cheese I would have ordered blue cheese dipping sauce. Others may like blue cheese but to me it tastes like a dirty sock smells. Also I'm not sure why the hot sauce on mine tasted different then the hot sauce on my wife's bone in wings when I ordered the same flavor. Either way the hot wings were a major let down. Then there was the triple garlic flavor which were at least bearable to eat. I expected it to be like a real garlic buttery kind of thing but it was more of a overwhelmigly artificially made garlic flavor. Which, like I said, was at least bearable but would not be something I would eat again. Literally the only thing that was good was the celery. Overall, the price was to high, flavors were not good, and everything was dry. I personally will not be going back to this place unless they make some...

I am boycotting this place, and here is why.

I decided to walk up onto the front porch of this... shack... that apparently is a restaurant of some kind, and take a look at the menu and prices. Everything was very high price from what I can see, and nothing caught my interest. Someone inside came to the window, and tried to get my attention, and [he] did it in a very, VERY, rude way. I didn't say a word to him, and I just finished looking at the menu, and then calmly walked away without a word. [He] says "Hope you have a nice day too" in a sarcastic manner, and SLAMS the service window shut, and starts talking about me to someone inside the place, - using very disrespectful language.

I decide to stop, and observe the situation.

He comes out, a man with a dark beard [ google 'Garibaldi' beard ] and a shorter woman follows him, Hispanic perhaps. I, politely, ask him "You close at 10:00 p.m. ?" [ the time being close to 21:45 ] He says "Yep" and then goes on to berate me, saying that "I tried to be reasonable with you, but you just stood there and ignored me" all while having a very despicable attitude. He then goes on to say, and I quote, "We both live in Durham, if you want there to be a problem, there can be a problem, you'll get 'smacked the f* up' end quote.

Why is this guy like this, I wonder ? I tried to examine the situation, like I said, but to no effect.

Don't eat here, simply put, and if you do, do so at your own risk. By all means, develop your own opinion. If he is rude and disrespectful, and has violent tendencies, and openly communicates threats, who else must work there ? What other problems must there be ? Is he the owner ?...

I bought 1 pound of boneless spicy BBQ wings and a 1/2 waffle fries, and let just say I was not impressed. When I called they told me it would be 30 minutes to deliver , it took an hour to get to me. When I finally got a call from the delivery driver he said he was just pulling in, so I went out side waiting for him and after 10 minutes a guy in a car next to me rolls his window down and asks if I ordered food. I tell him yes and he proceeded to tell me he's been waiting 10 minutes and starts to almost argue with me. I grabbed my food and found a spot to eat, I started with my fries first and they were cold and flimsy, so I threw them away. I started to eat the wings and almost immediately I stopped, they were also cold and had no crunch to them and they tasted like they had been sitting for awhile. I've had better wings at little ceasars. So I decided to put them in the fridge to see if I can still salvage them (I paid $18 for them). The next day when I got off work, I threw them in 375 degree oil for 5 minutes to add some crunch and then I threw them in the oven for 10 minutes at 375. When they came out they were delicious, crunchy, spicy, and HOT. So the reason I'm giving them 2 stars and not one, is because I was able to salvage what they delivered. I ordered from them based on a friends recommendation and I will not be ordering...
