Vintage Home South — Local services in Durham

We had a great experience purchasing a sofa at Vintage Home South. It was a pleasure dealing with Stephanie, and then later with the owner, Jen, who personally does the final delivery arrangements. I live in Durham, and when my family decided to purchase a new sofa, we went by. This is a small, cozy store, filled with great furniture and other well chosen items. They had a sofa with beautiful blue fabric on display. Stephanie answered all of our questions in a friendly and low key way. We then left, shopped around both online and at other furniture stores in the Triangle. We returned two more times, each time Stephanie was welcoming and helpful. We signed out a fabric swatch, took measurements, and then finally ordered it. When the sofa arrived, we arranged through Jen, for a very reasonable price, delivery by two excellent and careful movers. The sofa has changed our entire living room for the better. Our family (including the cat) loves to relax on it. This blue fabric is amazing and seems to resist cat hair staying on it. Super comfortable, sturdy, well built, and made in the USA with Oeko-Tex certified fabric. And the price was very comparable or lower to the other sofas that we priced around the area and online. I have had the most wonderful experience with Jen and her team at Vintage Home South. I set out to freshen up and re-do most of my 1st floor last year. Jen came to my home, took pictures, measurements, listened to what I was looking for and helped me to transform, lighten up and brighten up the busiest room in our home--the family room! She recommended everything from paint colors to furniture to fabrics and rugs and built a page on Pinterest for me to reference as I wrapped my head around the project. The space is fantastic and I still need to work on wall decor--which Jen has graciously offered to help me with whenever I am ready. Additionally, she has recommended lighting and rug upgrades for our dining room and ultimately I will seek her out to help me with our small sitting room as well. One project at a time. We are big fans of Vintage Home South. Our favorite store to browse, shop for gifts people we love, or to purchase furniture. It’s all so reasonably priced and such an enjoyable shopping experience. Rich and Jen bring so much fun to the store and care so well for every customer. We have also really valued their home consultation service. Jen came to our home, spent an hour with us, taking measurements and helping us think through room layouts and furniture options. We ended up buying two pet and kid proof sofas that we love!
