Juicekeys in one of those establishments where not only do the juices & unique & delicious açaí bowls stand out, but the folks that own the place are the heart & soul of it all. I met Andrew while on a quick, Saturday morning smoothie run, and he took the time to chat with me about my life and our shared military past, and made me feel like I was a part of their family. I left feeling so appreciative that they have chosen to become a part of the downtown Durham community! Thank you for making my day brighter and sharing your story!

As far as the offerings go..I have so many go-to’s! Their smoothie bowls are deliciously refreshing treats (I once heard a kid chanting ‘blueberry bowl, blueberry bowl! like he was about to get some ice cream). I also did a 3 day juice till dinner cleanse and loved how they actually provided a salad along with paleo or vegan option for dinner (the chicken salad was awesome) which made the whole juicing process that much easier to stick to.

Absolutely, 100% recommend Juicekeys - go...

UPDATE: I was hesitant to post this, but i think people should know. There are some bug problems here, found this big guy on the stairs to the 2nd floor.

OLD: This is a juice shop in downtown Durham, they have smoothies, bowls, sandwiches and some hot drinks like tea and coffee.

As a former employee, there are a lot of issues with this business, IMO. They do not treat their employees well and it shows with the turnover rate. The lack of communication between management and staff is likely the cause.

They do not give the tips in the tip jar to their employees, so be mindful if that if you decide to tip.

It's also not the safest place to work, with homeless people coming in and threatening the workers with weapons who don't let them use the bathroom. And the management had not taken any steps to protect the people who work there, no changes or training to help the staff feel safer.

Its disappointing to see how the owners treat the people who help build...

I can't begin to explain how wonderful this place is. I absolutely love coming here. The food and beverages taste great, and it's a healthy way to go. I feel more like I am eating deserts while I am on this cleanse. I am a regular here, and I don't believe that I am a regular anywhere else besides here. What really makes this place so great, is the bond that I built with the staff; especially with Crystal and Theresa. They are my sunlight before the sun is all the way up and on a cloudy day 😁. They are genuinely happy to see their customers enjoying the services that they provide. They cause me to feel wanted, appreciated, and comfortable. Man! I don't think I have enough words to describe my love for this place and the people that work here. Thank you for every moment that I spend in Juicekeys. Also, a thank you to the guys in the kitchen (phenomenal meals every single time), and to the owners.

Thank you for your...

My daughter wanted a smoothie bowl and we were downtown so I looked a spot up and found this place. She got a Mocha bowl with banana. My son got a Mango smoothie and I am Golden Milk coffee with extra espresso. Everything was okay. The service was great but it’s a but pricey for smoothie bowls. My daughters was $15 and she didn’t even eat it all. Don’t get me wrong I know the new thing is to charge for everything, but I could’ve made this same bowl at home for $15 and did it for the entire family. It’s definitely a place you can grab a healthy treat to fill you up. The atmosphere was nice vibe and it had a super cute upstairs that you could hide away in and enjoy your treat if you didn’t want to walk and eat. I think they had Wi-Fi too but didn’t try so don’t quote me. I gave it 3 stars simply for the price.

After looking at the photos of their power bowls, I was excited to try their strawberry shortcake bliss. Compared to the photo, the portion seemed smaller and there were way fewer strawberries than I anticipated. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed the bowl, and the portion actually turned out to be perfect for breakfast. In terms of their smoothie, cashew butter made it really creamy, and I liked how it had an even texture - instead of having icy bits. It would've been nicer if the strawberries were non-frozen, but I enjoyed it regardless. Small coconut chips at the top made it feel like I'm eating a strawberry ice-cream, and this would also be a perfect dessert/snack.
