So I personally worked at New Japan, 4 months ago. My experience there was amazing and food was delicious 😋! Anyways, today I know someone is gonna post something similar to my statement on the issue, either today or sometime in the week.
There was a lady here today with a friend or family member, she had order 2 Chicken Shr and Stk, upon picking up, she says she's allergic and wanted a refund. The refund was given on the plate she wanted a refund on. They gave the refund as requested, and she gave a full rant about being allergic and wanted to sue the restaurant for giving her shr, which she had order on the phone. Our staff had told the one who ordered the plate to wait 15 minutes on the side for her plate, but forgot to tell the back, due to having a large amount of people in the line. And she's new, just started today, still sorry btw. Anyways, 15 minutes later, she says where's my plate, we don't give, cause you have to pay for the meal in order to get it.
She then went on about taking back the meal with chicken shr and steak, so she could sue us, we gave it back, and she threw it towards our door, and it fell on the ground. We felt embarrassed, as at the end of the day,, we'll be cleaning it up.. and it was all a misunderstanding, that could've been handled in a better way. Also she had requested our new worker to pay off her order, and our worker said she could but we had stopped her, as it was all due to a misunderstanding.
Anyways we gave her the other plate, remade one without shrimp and shrimp allergy, so separate grill (paid). She went back to her car, with plate, and decided to come back and request a refund for the plate, we gave the refund, but as we were handing the money over, she had the plate in her other hand.. she got her plate, and threw it against the window/table, and left, also there were other customers waiting in line. As she tried to make them side with her. She then left, but with a massive mess, but also with a huge line waiting to make an order or paying for one.
Anyways, that was it. I wanted to post this, before she does- as I personally believe she'll make a huge fuss about it, and exaggerate it much more than it...
Read moreClean establishment with a 98.5 health code rating. Food was good but too many onions! See the rest of my review below! Cleanliness 3/5. Dining room area and sauce/condiment bar were spotless. Bathroom was lacking however and one of the food staff that came into the men's room, barely washed his hands for 2 seconds, after using the urinal. Luckily my food was already made prior to his using the restroom but goes to show that the staff need better cleaning habits when handling food. Price 4/5. Chicken and Shrimp Hibachi platter w/ medium drink was $11.69. And even though its take-out, they were still asking for tips on the receipt. Why? You are picking up your own order, tossing your own trash away as well. It's not even handed to you! Its sitting on the counter after they call you over! Your food isn't brought to your table if you eat in the dining room either. Why am I tipping you for you doing your job? Quality 4/5. I didn't want to drop a star, however I was asked: "Did you want fried zucchini, mushrooms and onions as well?" And I said yes. Well all I got as you can see in the picture was onions. They were generous with the chicken and shrimp, I can give them that much. Service 5/5. I was met with smiles and a warm attitude. Much appreciated! I...
Read moreI don’t like to complain or leave bad reviews but I must warn others as I’d want to be warned. The food used to be good. Now it’s subpar. Upon arriving, I asked for extra white sauce and ginger because the containers are only filled halfway. He said I’m only allowed 12 which is really six because they aren’t full. I said I can pay for extra. He said I can only have 12. I insisted as that’s crazy to refuse me what I’m willing to purchase. First star deletion. When we begin eating, my husband said his hibachi chicken tastes strange. It indeed had a strange taste. I’m not sure if it was the chicken or the seasoning but I’m sure the chicken is the culprit. Second star deletion. My hibachi steak was in huge pieces, not cubed like usually and it was tough, not tender. Third star deletion. Lastly, I ordered shrimp tempura rolls, they were not freshly made. They were cold and nasty. I’ve never been given sushi rolls that are cooked/fried yet cold and hard. Fourth star deletion. If I could leave no stars, I would because I shouldn’t pay $62 for food and end up having to toss it and still be hungry. I’m not sure if the management/ownership has changed or what but I should have gone to...
