Went to pizza Inn today and it was definitely my first and my last visit. We waited at the sign to be seated and were told that we needed to pay first which wasnât a problem. I went to the bar to look around and the only thing I really found that looked fresh was the cheese sticks but it was ok because we were asked shortly after if there was anything that we would like to have added to the buffet. I placed a order for a pizza and while we waited for it I was just observing because it look like it had been recently remodeled. I observed one of the employees running his fingers through his hair and then bring a stack of plates to the buffet, rub his hands through his hair again after he stacked the plates and walked back into the kitchen. Meanwhile a group of employees is talking in the entrance way to the kitchen and one of the guys that was making pizzas wiped his eyes, wiped his nose ( both with his bare hands) and went back to his area to make pizzas. After observing this, The pizza I ordered came to the buffet and I observed the other guy again run his fingers through his hair and proceeded to put me some pizza on a plate and bring it to our table. When he sat the plate on the table I just kinda looked at it because I could not believe what I just saw. I asked one of the employees for the manager as I explained to her why I wanted to speak with her. When the manager came to the table I explained to her what I saw and told her that I felt it was unsanitary. Instead of her apologizing and trying to fix the issue she tells me that itâs fine as long as he didnât physically touch my food on my plate! Really?? When I asked who her manager was she decided to tell me that sheâs serve safe and sheâs about to buy the place as if that mattered to me. Iâd like to point out that none of the employees had on gloves or hair nets. I didnât bother asking for a refund because we did eat 2 slices of pizza and a cheese stick but ultimately weâre out money we paid for our meal. I feel like it wouldâve been a waste anyway since the so- called manager on duty had excuses for her employees actions instead of trying to remedy...
Read moreA group of us decided to go pizza inn after school orientation last night. It was around 7pm. Google said pizza inn closed at 9 so figured we would have plenty of time. We walked in and was ordering at front and from the start, the gentleman ( who I assume was the manager) had the worse attitude and when he found out how many of us it was. He said â I donât knowâ and mentioned they just had 14 people leave. You could tell he did not want us there. Grant it there was about 20 of us. Maybe they didnât have enough staff, which if they wouldâve mentioned that we would have understood and either went somewhere else or definitely would have been patient with the process. We didnât expect to have horrible attitudes thrown at us for wanting to enjoy dinner at a pizza place. From then on he gave everyone an attitude. Even people who were not in our group. One lady even fussed him out a little over his bad attitude. He also mentioned they closed in an hour..by then it wasnât even 7:30. I understand if you werenât expecting a big group and all but the attitude was absolutely ridiculous and feeling unwanted at a restaurant youâre paying money to eat at wasnât a very good experience. You felt uneasy about even requesting a pizza. Very unwelcoming. The waiter was great though! The manager,...
Read moreStellar service could not save the subpar food. The cashier was friendly and the server was even friendlier. I had a wonderful little chat with her and made sure to tip well. Sadly, this was where the pleasure ended. There were three pizzas available at the buffet but two of them looked like they'd been there way too long. The third, a pepperoni pie, was situated behind the "pizzerts" and didn't taste too great either. Occasionally, one of the employees swung by and -- best I could tell -- poked it with a fork. I'm not sure what was going on there but I figured I'd mention it anyway.
The pasta came in one variety: spaghetti. The only sauce was a rough-looking meat style. The salad had a passable variety to it and I'll note here that the produce was fresh. It seemed to lack flavor, though. Not sure how that happened but that's how it went.
I ate three slices (two from the pepperoni and one that I think was buffalo chicken?) and a little bit of salad. I pushed myself not to leave without even finishing the three small slices, because again, the staff was great and I didn't want them to feel like they'd done anything wrong. They didn't! But I don't think I'll...
