Top's China — Restaurant in Durham

So I RARELY write reviews and I usually take the “L” when it comes to bad food. I grew up eating at hole in the wall restaurants as they usually have the best food to be honest. However, this restaurant was DISGUSTING. I ordered 3 simple items from this restaurant. 25 minutes after placing my order over the phone, my food was not done and had not been started. I had to wait an additional 10 minutes for my food to be ready. I don’t think I’ve ever been to an asian restaurant and truly disliked everything I ate. I’m not a picky eater at all! All of the food I ordered had this disgusting/old/rotten taste to it and I spit it out immediately after 1 bite. To be honest it all tasted like it was expired and sour, especially the pork egg rolls and the cheese wontons. In addition, the man taking the orders was quite rude on the phone and in person. I have been shopping here now for a couple of years and I have done so because they do have good food here. I have gone to other places and it doesn't compare. Some cons is that if you don't go at the right time you might get some leftover food which doesn't taste all that great. Not unbearable to eat but not as good as when the food comes out fresh. Another thing I wish they didn't just take cash. But will otherwise Top's Chinese is pretty good. Thanks guys for your food. I don't understand the love for this place. Yes the food is pretty good, but it's not the best, by any stretch. But good food only gets you so far. They only take cash - This is NEVER spoken about when ordering food. Seriously? It's 2021. They rarely ever, ever, answer the phone. IF they do, I've waited 30-45 minutes AFTER I've arrived and placed my order for my food. Look, I know what part of town I'm going to, but it would be awesome if I wasn't approached by panhandlers, right outside the door to this establishment.
