Review for Vittles at the PARK LLC
This afternoon marked my second visit to Vittles at the PARK LLC, and unfortunately, it will be my last. My first experience with this business was just over a week ago, and both visits have been disappointing.
First Visit: They were out of rice and peas. I wasn’t informed about any customer rewards program or similar perks.
Second Visit: Once again, they were out of rice and peas. When I mentioned this, I was told it’s only available on weekends—but this wasn’t clarified during my first visit. The customer ahead of me was informed about the rewards program, yet I wasn’t told during either visit. When I asked about it, the cashier simply said, “Sometimes things slip my mind.”
The Main Issue: My order was wrong.
I ordered the same items as my first visit, but the results were completely different. Here's what happened: I received two bread rolls instead of the cornbread I ordered. I was given two bowls of potato salad instead of one bowl of mashed potatoes and one bowl of potato salad. I somehow ended up with a full order of fries, even though that wasn’t what I ordered. I received a small serving of cabbage instead of the greens I had ordered during my first visit.
I ordered two veggie plates, but the inconsistencies were frustrating. My first visit taught me to double-check my order, but I expected better this time around.
Additionally, my receipts from both visits showed different breakdowns, adding to the confusion.
I initially recommended this spot to someone new to the area, but I’ll now advise them to look elsewhere. It’s incredibly disappointing, especially when I wanted to support a Black-owned business. As a business owner myself, I understand the importance of customer service and consistency, and this experience fell short of expectations.
The phone line doesn’t work.

Read moreI am huge on customer service and theirs was A1. My food was mediocre which was disappointing given how recommended this place is as well as the cost. I know food is expensive so the price was somewhat understandable. However, I would like for management to take the comments into consideration as my complaints mimic some of the previously mentioned comments. All of my veggies were too sweet 🤮. I am not a child so I don't want sweet butterbeans and sweet greenbeans. This comment had been shared by many guests so the cook should take that into consideration. I ordered hamburger and gravy over rice. How can you possibly mess up such an easy dish? The rice had several crunchy pieces and they only put gravy on the meat, not the rice. Many comments have said the rice is undercooked but I actually think it's the low quality brand they choose to use as some of the rice was done and some was not. Nonetheless, the hamburger, wings, Mac and cheese, and greens were very delicious. So even with the crunchy rice and overly sweet vegetables I would come again but I would just try something else. Not a terrible experience by sny means, but it was slightly disappointing...
Read moreService was good, they'll call your name when your food is ready( nice and hot), I love the carryout trays because if you don't eat all of your food you don't have to get in a line to get a bag and carry out tray! Very clean eating area (spacious), clean restroom! I did good! I didn't leave you an after shot of my plate🤣. My cousin was already in his! Smacking and telling God thank you for the good food😂😅! You get your drink out of a drink box( fridge), and they have different drinks bottled different flavors ! I have seen this in several restaurants lately instead of a fountain. Doesn't bother me because I love water to sip on. .
I always bring family and friends here! They are always very pleased with the food because it truly has that down home taste, food is always cooked fresh, good and hotjust like I love it! Restaurant has different beverages and CAKE😋😆💕💕You know food is good when it silences everyone at the table and you hear jaw bones, slurping, crunching and lips attaching like magnets together at the table😋😆💕😂💕💕. I go there to eat every time I visit. [Was...
