Falafel 54 — Restaurant in Durham

This place is awesome for gluten free, vegan people. The food Is fresh and so delicious! What is great also is that the food is not oily either. I come here once a week, if not more. There are not a lot of vegan gluten free restaurants and then it's a buffet. They make the falafel homemade- it's not from a box. They aren't open on Sunday's but they have another location that serves the same buffet in Cary called Urban Turban open from 11-2. I spoke with the owner and he said all the same food from this one is also vegan and gluten free but he hasn't had a chance to change the labeling to say it. I've been there ate the food (i have celiac disease) and I'm fine. Love love this place so much. And they have a Groupon. Cleanliness 5/5. Service 4/5. Price 4/5. Quality 5/5. The restaurant and bathrooms were spotless! The price was high but fair. Never get to-go plates from a buffet. It'll always be a ripoff. The service was odd. The manager? Owner? Old man? Left me feeling uncomfortable as he eyed me while I served my food. Grabbing the buffet line tools from me and trying to perfect the look after me as if it were a hassle I served myself at all. I wasn't dropping food everywhere...or making a mess. He then follows me and eyes me as I'm getting a fork and knife and napkins. I was literally about to just walk out like "Dude, get off my sac". I really like Mediterranean food, and in fact I already had a favorite place to eat. I had never been to Falafel 54, but it was close, I was starving and decided to go inside. From the outside the place is not so attractive, so I did not make many expectations. The person who takes the orders explained to me that there are 3 ways to order: à la carte, buffet or by weight (obviously they are different prices).
