Rob's Meat Chop & Deli — Restaurant in Dyer

I came to Rob's about 4 years ago and was blown away with the quality cuts of all of their meats - and they have a LOT. The selection is incredible, and the meat is so fresh I would never ever buy meat from anywhere else again, and, I have have been to A LOT of meat shops.

Even if you don't go for the meats they have so many other home made frozen foods of all nationalities, and their deli is great too. The staff is SO knowledgeable it's hard to fathom. If you have questions about the meats, the cuts, how to cook them - anything - they will have the answer. Here are the best items I have purchased there, in order, from very best to almost the very best.

Marinated Peppercorn Shish Kebobs - (they offer hundreds throughout the day and many other shish kebobs like italian, barbeque, teriyaki, chicken, mango, green chili, and more) Marinated Peppercorn Pork Chops (these are somewhat hidden near the marinated chicken packs) Filet Mignon (about 50 to choose from) Porterhouse (about 30 to choose from) Garlic Onion Pepper Hamburgers (about 7 types of burgers to choose from) Chicken Kiev (they have about 10 or more types with nearly 100 to choose from) Marinated chicken breast (about 15 types to choose from)

That said, if you do not go to Rob's you will be sorry if you ever wind up there for any reason in the future because you had been missing so much...

This place rules! That's pretty much the best comment I could say. Excellent burgers, excellent chicken wings.. Oh my goodness... The wings! I brought some to share with my co workers at ORD airport. They were a hit! The stuffed chicken is amazing too! What really shocked me were the tamales they have in the frozen section. Now, I was born in San Antonio, Texas. I was spoiled by my late grandmother who would make the best tamales ever. I don't know who makes them or where they get them from... But this place is as close as I can get to the tamales I know and I love. I've had tamales in the Chicago area and have been semi pleased. I mean they were good... But not Grandma good! This place definitely won me over the moment I ate tamales from there.... But trust me when I say everything they sell is awesome sauce. Everything they have is so good!

The folks employed at this establishment are super nice and polite. Every time I walk in, I am greated with friendly hellos and huge smiles. I can't say enough great things about this place so go check them out. I will tell you what I told my co workers, "You will not be...

Wonderful deli and butcher. Went to try something other than pizza for a party. Very friendly and patient people behind the counter!! I wondered aloud if something had soy sauce in it and they picked up on it and told me which items did and did not contain my allergy. It was not a hassle for them. I completed my order and kept looking around. Another person was ready to help when I wanted to add more to my full arms. She didn't assume I'd already been helped. Check out was lovely and fast. We got each Black Hawk kabobs, black hawk steak, the Bourbon kabobs, stuffed veggie mushrooms, and mango chicken kabobs. I also order pork chops and the brisket ravioli, but have not cooked those yet. Everything was gone before we could even bring out the birthday cake. Tender, flavorful, great choice were...
