Long John Silver's — Restaurant in Dyersburg

We stopped in for dinner while staying at a local hotel. The staff was friendly, but they sure messed up our order and we had gotten it to go back to the hotel (NOTE TO SELF: Always check your to-go order before leaving the the property...lol). They forgot one dinner all together, forgot our 2 orders of fried shrimp, the green beans, the rice, the tarter sauce and the cocktail sauce. They got one dinner correct, the second one they gave us was totally wrong. Of course by the time we got back to our room and got dinner out and called them, their restaurant had closed. They did say we could come back the next day and they would give us the stuff that wasn't right, but the next day was a little to late, so we paid nearly $10.00 more for food we never received. Worse place I've eaten at in 30+ years. Coleslaw stale taste, over dressed. Shrimp was barely cooked enough to not cause illness. The fish was swimming in oil. The bathroom was not handicapped accessible and hard for my mother who's on a cane to get into. And the floor was slick. There was oily footprints all over. It looked as if they'd mopped up greese then used same mop to mop floors. It was a slip hazard. My mom had to be extremely careful walking due to it by holding on to tables and booth backs. I had to even tread carefully to not fall. Plus the customer service was bargain basement. We asked if they had filtered water, they didn't know what it was and finally they said "oh, we get ours out of the sink". Needless to say I will NEVER...

These are some of the things we noticed on our long wait for our food .Out of tarter sauce by 6:30 on a Friday . 30 minute wait with only a few customers . They were more interested in gossiping than working . Bathroom was disgusting . Overall cleanliness was nasty . Fryer had build up from weeks if not months of lack of care . Food was grease soaked . How this place passes a health inspection leads me to believe that there is corruption within the inspectors . They weren't friendly but they weren't directly rude . They are lucky it is in a small town because they wouldn't last in a city with more options of...
