Los Portales — Restaurant in Dyersburg

When you go to a Mexican restaurant and see actual Hispanic people working there, you think it is probably going to be pretty good. When you see actual Hispanic people eating there, you know it is going to be excellent. That is what happened here today, and the place was fire! I loved the atmosphere. There was no wait time to be seated. Our waiter was there immediately after we were seated and came back with the perfect glass of sweet tea quickly. I really needed that to happen if ya know what I mean. 😉 They had what looked like a decent bar as well, but I rarely drink anymore, so I didn't order anything. I did see a really nice-looking Margarita on the way to the table. While I happily munched on the chips and salsa (😉 😉 again), our waiter took our order, kept the tea glasses full, and before long, he was back with the food. I don't stray too far from the normal, so I had the Enchilada Supremas. This dish was even better than I hoped it would be. It was flavorful with the perfect amount of lettuce and sour cream. The tomato was what tomatoes are now, mainly garnish, so I didn't eat that. It was a slice, not chopped, so it was easy to remove. I topped everything with some of the salsa. *chef's kiss Perfection, even the bean one, my least favorite enchilada. My husband had the Beef Enchiladas with rice and beans, his go-to. He said they were fantastic. Best meal I've had outside the house in a while. Great service, awesome food, at what I considered a great price. Check this place out if you find yourself in Dyersburg and want some really good Mexican food. Don't forget to tip these folks!...

We eat here once a week for the last six months.. when we go in they seat us knowing we want a booth, we don't have to tell them what we want to drink, all the waiters know us. We don't even have to have menus we eat cheese steak and cheese dip everytime and it's only 41 tax and all. We enjoy our dinner everytime. I would say this is the best place to eat in dyer county. Excellent service.. wonderful ppl all the way around. Keep up the good work guys y'all are the best around!!! Ps. This is the best place to go for a birthday regardless of how small of a group or how big. And they sing to you and bring out the special birthday dessert!! 4:10pm 12/2219...As we opened the door to walk in the Fellow at the cash reg. rolled his eyes more customers, had 3 of us and we were put in dark corner of empty resturant, had stucky menus to look at, had our drinks and cheese sauce all arrived b4 the chips and salsa (cheese sauce had hardened on top)... Our waitress was wonderful and very apologetic... My chimichangas was open in both ends and fried in motor oil, they were awful!!! told Mr. Happy when I paid He didnt care... Oh Yes, and in that empty room he sat the poor next party right behind us so we could all listen to each other, He didnt even provide them with menus... Its sad to see them going downhill so fast, the last 2 times we went was disappointing afraid this was...
