Drove over from Dubuque today (Saturday 2/15 at noon) as we had some family visiting and wanted to try some place new. When we arrived we found a baby shower was taking up over 80% of the building. My in-laws actually walked in and walked out because they felt uncomfortable walking into the middle of the private event. I made the decision to barge through the party and head back to the bar where we were greeted by the bar staff. The bar staff were friendly but they were very frustrated with the event situation that was going on. They mentioned that the owners allow events to come in for free and they take over the entire place which scares a lot of the business away (almost did for us). The bartender mentioned that it’s frustrating because many groups (including this group) bring in their own food and drinks.. so they had a full building of people hardly buying anything.. so the staff wasn’t making any tips... Overall the environment/building is very unique. The food is 10/10 and the beer is good. We will go back every now and then! Hope the owner reads this and reconsiders their event policies for the sake of their staff and customers. With this being in a smaller town you will have many customers who come from out of town like we did, we didn’t really want to drink a beer, eat a pretzel and be apart of a private event/baby shower.. but felt forced to do so since we...

The food is excellent—fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. It's clear they take as much pride in their kitchen as they do in their brewing. Every bite was a delight, making it a perfect spot for a casual meal or a night out.
What truly sets Textile Brewing apart is the incredible history of the building. Once a sewing factory, the space has been thoughtfully transformed, blending industrial charm with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The nods to its past throughout the decor add a unique character that makes the experience even more memorable.
Overall, Textile Brewing Co. is a perfect blend of quality drinks, amazing food, and a fascinating location. Highly recommend...
Read moreStopped in after visiting the Field of Dreams movie site and really enjoyed ourselves. It was an early Friday afternoon so only a few patrons. The bar staff was friendly and we were greeted with a smile. We drank a Peach Dreams, Seam Ripper, Blue Suede, and Merlin's Paradise, all solid brews. I really enjoyed Merlin's Paradise. It's not too heavy and a good stout to drink in the warmer weather. Decided to have a bite to eat so ordered the buffalo chicken flatbread and it was served with the absolute best ranch I have ever had. Thinking back I wish I had also ordered a pretzel bc they sounded incredible on the menu! We sat outside and the headbrewer stopped to chat and ask what we thought of the different brews we were trying. He was very friendly and I always appreciate conversations with brewers and their thought processes behind their recipes. We will definitely come back the next time we make it...
