Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Eagan

Bad experience. I brought my family out a while back, and I wasn't going to say anything but this experience has been a stick min my craw. The waiter was new, and I always give some leeway to that, but this was unacceptable service. He would sigh loudly when he came to our table, no smiles, no greetings, he didn't even introduce himself. There was seven of us, and we all had simple orders. We all asked for drinks, and after a small eternity he came back with waters, which we didn't ask for. We ordered three alcohol beverages and soda's. He brought us back the alcohol drinks, but forgot the soda's. I had to ask a waitress to get them for us, and she did. We ordered food, and specifically asked for well done cheeseburgers, "no pink". Of course he didn't write that down and the cheeseburgers still had a heartbeat in them when they came top our table. He apologized constantly and continuously reminded us he was new employee. Still, isn't there some type of training for waiters and waitresses? He never came back to see how our meal was, or if we needed anything else.. Again, we had to ask a waitress and she must had told him again. We sat where we could see the "to go" door/kitchen area. He was looking at his phone, and leaning against the cash register stand, never looking up at us or the other customers in the back by us. I also have to say this was not a busy time. It was relatively quite in the restaurant. When it was time to pay the bill, he wrung us up incorrectly. The drinks were not the specials we ordered, so they were overpriced. A manager came to our table and had to fix this. The bill was somewhere around $150, including the drinks. I had my family with me on a special occasion, so I didn't say anything. But I was so pissed off about this, it still bothers me today. So I had to say something about it. I can't recall the waiters name, but he is a tall man, black hair, and wears glasses....

My family came here after hearing so much good comments about chilis. We ordered queso she asked if I wanted me. I’m like yeah sure brought it out and it was basically refried beans with meat in it. There was no cheese so I did call the waitress back and ask her again. If this was the queso, she said yes, this is how we make our queso Blanca so then I asked for the regular queso. She brought it back pretty quick, but it was cold so we ate the Salsa instead. Then our food come out I ordered the surf and turf. The steak was really thin. I asked before I ordered if it was grilled, I was told it was that steak was not grilled at all. The shrimp were gross. It was just like seasoning sitting on top of them and they tossed them in a pan real quick. My daughter ordered the salmon, but she didn’t want the sauce on it. They brought the salmon without even seasoning it it was cold. My other daughter ordered the steak as well. She ate it, but the food was cold, so it was like our food sat there for a while before they brought it out to us, so there was no type of steam Warmth to it at all like they literally gave us cold food. We ate a little bit my bigger kids took their mozzarella sticks to go, and yeah, just reminded me of why I have never gone back to Chili’s. It could definitely just be this location but again I would never return to the Eagan chilies ever again. I honestly don’t wanna eat at any chilies for a very long time, so I’m not sure what some of these other people were tasting, but someone’s not being...

Dec 1,2024 1st experience at chilis was NOT good, no one waited on me and I told the manager I was going to Wendy’s across the street due to no one waiting on me, I thought he would immediately ask me to sit down and he himself wait on me but nope and (in case you’re curious cold fries at Wendy’s sucked)! I was in town (in the state actually) for a job interview staying in a hotel who highly recommended chilis.. at the interview they gave me a gift card for chilis.. I thought ok LORD let’s try this again Dec 2,2024 I walk in and immediately a lady named Gina sits me at a nice table away from the bar area this time and says hi my name is Gina and I’ll be your server! She not only takes my drink order right then but helps with food recommendation (which I had hers)!! Before I knew it my food was there and so hot fresh and perfectly cooked I was in awe was this even the same place as the night before? Gina really turned my dinner into a perfect dining experience!!
