I am a delivery driver for Uber and I went into this location to pick up an order. Upon arrival I checked in with the hostess and she informed me the order was not ready yet. I sat on the bench and waited for 20 minutes. I know because the hostess had enough time to take a short break(I'm assuming her first 15 minute break) and come back. At the 20 minute mark the customer texted me wondering if he should cancel his order due to the wait. I went to the counter and informed the hostess that if the order was still going to take a while to complete the customer wanted to cancel. It was then when they told me the order was picked up over an hour ago and they were not making it. I informed them the customer did not recieve the order and asked why they told me to wait if that was the case. They told me there was nothing they could do so essentially I would not be compensated for my time and the customer would have to cancel an order he waited over an hour for. I left but called back soon after to ask for a manager to see if anything else could be done. Upon hearing my voice they hung up on me. I was still in the parking lot waiting for Uber Support's response, so I went back inside to speak to the manager in person. He told me there was nothing he could do since he was in the back all morning and did not see the events take place, I assume the workers talked to him first. I told him the whole story and he rolled his eyes at me and only then offered to remake the canceled order(it was a 3 item order, pancakes/meat/a pastry). When I vented my frustration with waiting so long without compensation due to his staff telling me to wait he asked me, "Well what do you want me to do about that?". He did not once offer any sympathy or even apologize. After this I will no longer be delivering for this location and Uber Eats is aware in case this happens again. Being a customer here for the past 2 years, I will never visit this location again. With my luck they would spit in my food. I did ask for names and they refused: thats always a good sign. Drive to Uptown Diner for quality service and food, its worth the drive. They offer fresh...
Read moreMy Mom contacted corporate and never heard back, so I am copying and pasting what she emailed below. She did include our receipt number in the email to corporate.
Hi! I went out to eat with my daughter and granddaughters. The hostess person with red hair was slow in seating us as we were waiting 5+ minutes to be seated. I was understanding as she was busy. The waitress was nice, but I think she had too many tables. She also didn't bring our soup and my salad early before my daughter's meal and my sandwich until we reminded her. All of a sudden this party of more than 10 showed up. But keep in mind, we placed our order before this large party showed up. Our food was slow. I think the waitress was overworked for her age. My granddaughter's cheeseburger was hard. We kept on waiting on a receipt and my granddaughters cookies so we could leave, so I asked the hostess to give us both as we the waitress was too busy. I tipped the waitress before we left. Once we went up to the front to pay and leave, the hostess with red hair was nowhere to be found. It was close to 10 minutes until she showed up at the front cash register. Yes, close to 10 minutes. No exaggerating. Why did I have to wait so long to pay? My guess is she was smoking outside, but she shouldn't take that long if she knows she has customers waiting to pay and be seated. She asked how was everything while I was paying. I said a little slow and my granddaughter's cheeseburger was a little hard, otherwise fine. She had an attitude and wanted to blame it on the large party that showed up. The large party wasn't to blame. We just didn't have the...
Read more11/23/21: ordered a chocolate pecan pie in the evening and tracked the status online that said ready for pickup. Upon arrival, I parked in the curbside pickup and called the #. Lady who answered stated she will be right out. 10 mins later, still nothing so we called again. Another woman answered and was absolutely unpleasant. She stated that they do not do curbside orders after dark, for safety reasons. Alright, but why did the other girl state something different then? Anyway, I let it go, and went inside for pickup. The first employee couldn’t locate me on her sheet. So, she spoke to another woman who was adamant that orders take 24 hours for processing and I should return tomorrow. Finally, I started loosing my patience and provided them with my order details. The lady said she will go see if there’s another pie that she can get for me. But she wanted me to write down my name so that “my name doesn’t show up on her list tomorrow”. Meanwhile, a third woman appears and directs the other employees to this shelf where the pie was sitting the entire time!! As I grabbed it and began to exit, one of the employees told me to still write down my name on a piece of paper just in case so there’s no confusion tomorrow. I was appalled. Makes me feel like they asked this of me so I don’t by chance return tomorrow for a pie? If my order wasn’t already paid for, I would’ve walked out od there so quickly. The lack of customer service, communication and overall lack of professionalism is appalling. I will not be returning to this...
