I was excited to hear here today. My girlfriend and I sat at the counter that looks into the kitchen. We were sitting all of 5 minutes. We ordered drinks and our server was Soo spaced out plus had no Idea what carbonated water was so my girlfriend had to get a Starry soda.while waiting on the drinks the chef was cracking egg's. In the process a few shells ended up in the eggs. Instead of using a spatula the cook stick her fingers in the eggs multiple times to remove the shells. I immediately became appalled and alerted who I thought was the manager and then our server. Our server stated well I think they wash their hands a lot. The manager who was working along side of the cook did not address her. He turns and looks at me and says she put on gloves now be quiet rudely. I was like excuse me sir who are you speaking to. And said it again. At this point I was extremely agitated and said well Ill just write a review and I left it at that. The manager says I don't care be quiet. Keep in mind I'm not loud at all I'm speaking to them in a very respectful tone. I then say sir I've met the owner multiple times and he won't appreciate this and he told me to be quiet again. My girlfriend and I politely got up and left. This cook never washed her hand after putting her finger in someone's eggs and went on to touch other food Can you say Salmonella. Will not revisit here and it's a shame because Jrs has always had great food at reasonable prices. I hope the owner finds this and corrects his staff behavior so I can come and...
Read moreIt was my first time there and I was very surprised about how it reminded me of my childhood. There are no longer any of these places around. The food was Amazing! It was delicious, the staff were on point and were attentive whenever they thought I needed (which was right! Worst thing is waiting on a water/straw or hot sauce that is never coming!). I was delighted with my server, super nice and since it was my first time I asked and she recommend l get this meal that I would have never tried. It was Awesome!! Andouille sausages we’re beautifully made and extremely worth every penny!! Honestly I don’t comment on places that are not Gems 💎. This one is by far the best breakfast place in Eagan with the best “cure my hangover” food. Enjoy!!
Ps: the Caramel/Cinnamon Rolls are insane, 10” in diameter(size of a dinner plate and insanely great!) I got one to take home and got it wrapped up in a box with a cup of Caramel Syrup. If you have a chance to go here, don’t sleep on the...
Read moreThis is a great small cafe. We ordered 5 plates for breakfast. Here is how I review them: Eggs Benedict, this was my favorite by far! The hollandaise sauce was excellent! Next visit this is what I will order. Everything omelette, this was really good. What you'd expect, but that's not a bad thing. Definitely can't go wrong with this. Country fried steak and eggs. This was a favorite of my kids. I really liked it too, but the eggs Benedict was so good it overshadowed everything else for me. Biscuits and gravy, this meal was average, still better than Perkins and Denny's though. Pancakes, the flavor was really good. It tasted buttery and full. They were a good size, and the syrup seemed to be a good quality. Coffee, about what you'd expect. The eggs and hash browns that went with the meals were cooked perfectly as well!
I will definitely go back here for breakfast again. And I saw some people with burgers, they looked good and big from what...
