Gave Village Pizza another try Friday night after a long hiatus from poor service a year ago, this time it was even worse! They now use DoorDash because they can’t find enough delivery drivers to help out, my pizza never showed up. Called them at 8:55pm on a Friday night, I told Braxton of the problem, I made sure they had my correct address, and asked that another pizza be delivered, Braxton informed me the ovens were turned off and I’d have to call back tmrw! He said they were slow so they decided to go home early on a Friday night, customer service was the last thing on Braxton’s mind, he informed me he was tired and it had been a long day. Wow, just wow! Next day wasn’t any better. I talked to Clair after ordering another pizza, which again wasn’t delivered, I told them they didn’t give DoorDash my correct address, it was never corrected by Braxton the previous day when I triple checked with him that it was! Clair seemed put off that I was very frustrated by the horrible service I was given, and really was put out to be kind at all! I was just trying to get a dang pizza delivered, twice!! I would’ve drove up and got it myself but I just had surgery and wasn’t suppose to drive yet! Called DoorDash as well, they said Village Pizza game them an incorrect address, which I tried so hard to have them fix over the phone! That was the last time I will ever order a pizza from Village! They admitted to me that DoorDash hasn’t been that great! But the problem actually lies with Village Pizza!!! Braxton & Clair are two of the most inept supervisor/managers I’ve ever talked with in my life! Incredibly uncaring and they make you feel like it’s such an inconvenience for them to try and help resolve a simple address conflict on their part! I hope they seriously lose their jobs, but to tell ya the truth the entire Village Pizza company needs to hang it up and get out of the business once and for all! Zero stars for a horrible experience! I hope better luck for you, but I suggest you never choose delivery! Braxton & Clair you made me feel horrible for a problem you couldn’t fix! Service industry is crap now! DoorDash is horrible too! Nobody speaks English and their bosses couldn’t care less as well! Customer service and integrity are dead with these two companies, the service industry is the worse I’ve ever seen it, the entitlement with younger kids is off the charts! They wouldn’t have lasted a week in the 80’s & 90’s with that outrageous poor work ethic! Good luck Mom & Dad, they’ll be living with...
Read moreEvery pizza place should be judged firstly by the quality of a standard pepperoni pizza. Unfortunately, Village Pizza fell short. While dining, I kept asking "where's the cheese?" Having ordered a 16" pepperoni pizza and a 12-piece cheese sticks, I shouldn't have had to ask that question at all. Too many bites of pizza were just dough and sauce. The cheese sticks were better, except the outsides of the circular order were also just dough, no cheese. Really, where is the cheese?
The crust is thin and provides a really good flavor and texture. This is probably the best part of Village Pizza. The sauce is underwhelming and honestly tastes like the sauce of a club store pizza. However, another person in my party appreciated the sauce for its homemade style where you could see bits of onion in it. To me, with the exception of the sparse cheese, my pizza strongly reminded me of pizza you can purchase hot at Costco or Sam's Club, which I kind of hate saying. On the plus side, there was plenty of pepperoni on the pizza, much more so than a pizza chain, and the restaurant serves Pepsi on tap.
The guy who took my order over the phone was friendly, patient, and helpful. The service at Village Pizza is above average, and I was happy to leave a small tip in the jar.
I want to come back and dine in, but I'm a little torn because I just didn't think the pizza was the quality I expect from a pizza parlor such as this one. I love trying every local pizza I can, and I'm glad I tried Village Pizza, but do I dare give it a second try? I don't know for sure. Maybe it was just an off night and not enough cheese was going on the pizza. Maybe it was a standard night and I'll be disappointed again. I want to support local businesses and keep my dollars local, but I do need to be provided a satisfactory experience in doing so. Maybe, if I do return, I'll try a more premium pizza and see if...
Read moreOur family loves Village Pizza! Every time we’ve gotten pizza there over the last 4 years it’s been good quality and very tasty. I noticed another reviewer mentioning issues with their online discount codes and I had some issues as well when trying to order yesterday. On my computer at home, their website clearly stated that they had a $10 off Tuesdays deal with the code 10OFF (regardless of how much you spend) so I tried to order online with that code. The code was applied to the order just fine, but when I tried to check out there was an error and my order wouldn’t go through, but it wouldn’t tell me why. I tried twice then gave up and called my order in to the restaurant. When I asked about getting the $10 off Tuesday deal that they had on their website, the girl taking my order had no idea what I was talking about. She offered me a free breadsticks deal so I said sure, let’s do that instead, since I was ordering breadsticks anyway and it would come out to a similar discount. She somehow ended up giving me the free breadsticks AND an extra $10 off, so I certainly couldn’t complain about that, though I would have been fine with just one of the deals. Then I thought, maybe the deals show up on a computer but not on a smart phone? So I checked their website on my phone and sure enough, the deal did not pop up on my phone. So perhaps the manager wants to look in on this issue. It ended up being a big hassle and took a while for me to order, but everything ended up...
