This place was incredible.
We came into town from our campsite looking for a place to eat. It was 7:50, and to be honest I was dreading walking in and having the employees roll their eyes (another customer so close to closing...) but it was just the opposite. We were greeted with a smile by a very friendly hostess, and seated in a booth right away. My husband and I were both very hungry, so we wasted no time ordering an appetizer, and I wanted a martini. The waitress wasn't sure what they had for a martini menu, so the hostess came back over and rattled them off for me, no problem. (Highly recommend the strawberry martini 😉) Our waitress came back over to take our dinner order, and mentioned she already put in the appetizer, which is always good to hear because appetizers are so often forgotten. I ordered the jagerschnitzel (YUM) and the hubby got their special - crab mac and cheese. Then came the food, almost in perfectly-timed waves - the loaded potato skins, dinner rolls with cinnamon butter, our soup/salad, then then entrees. We were checked back in on maybe twice (not too often, even though they were closing in less than an hour - you know how some places can be...) The hostess even came back to make sure my martini was delicious - apparently they were training a new bartender and she was inquiring 😊. Once all was said and eaten, we boxed up the leftover noms to cook over our fire tomorrow, and the Mr wanted to hear about the desserts. Long story short, the grasshopper ice cream drink is also worth getting.
The prices aren't any different than that of a normal supper club - an average of roughly $18 a dinner, but you get bread, soup/good-sized salad, potato, vegetable, and a huge piece of whatever you order.
All in all, we can't wait to come here again. Great experiences are incredibly important to us, as we travel up from Kenosha this time each year to celebrate our anniversary.

Read moreThis quaint northwoods log cabin restaurant has a cute dining room overlooking the Eagle River, if you can 1.) get past the 70s foyer which needs a ceiling tile repair, and new wallpaper, or at least markers to repair the white marks where taped signs were pulled down, along with parts of the dark wallpaper. 2.) The hostess would ever be at her station when not seating patrons. 3.) The crude bartender would actually great you positively, and without his rude, loud, and embarrassing comments that he thinks are funny.
We did not just hit one bad night. This was our third night where we were irritated by staff before we even were seated...and it could be our last. The reason that we go there is for their delicious baked cod dinners.
One time the hostess forgot to assign us to a waitress, so it took forever to flag down a waitress to see who our server even was.
Friday night, after waiting a few minutes for a hostess to appear, I stepped over to the bar to ask the bartender if there was a hostess that night. Other than conversing with patrons, he had not been busy. He was indignant that there, in fact, was a hostess, and stated it loudly. As I thanked him, and began to move back towards the hostess table to continue my wait, I hear him rudely say "Have a little patience, honey." I should have walked out then. Perhaps, he realized that he had gone too far, so next thing I knew, he was next to me, also looking for this phantom hostess. At that time, I quietly told him that his words were extremely rude. He didn't apologize. He tried to justify his behavior as trying to be funny, and walked away.
Despite many empty tables, we were seated 15 min later, as people in the bar were ahead of us.
Our waitress was Nicole, who never stops smiling, and soon I am smiling with her warm, welcoming, and accommodating personality. We had a lovely dinner, which was...
Read moreMy family and I were in for dinner Tuesday evening . Great atmosphere! We sat down for dinner and our server was great. She got us our appetizers and new drinks , then our order. She was very attentive, until our dinner came. She served us and then never came back. My husbands ribs were cold and very tough. My son got fettuccini Alfredo with chicken added for 6$ and got three small slices of chicken. I order the chicken cordon bleu. The mashed potatoes were ice cold( I subbed the rice) and the sauce was cold, it warmed up because the chicken was fortunately hot. I wasn’t going to write a review but decided to because I didn’t receive a response from my message and I would like to know how to improve so we could be better ( we own a supper club and a bar and grill. ) Unfortunately our waitress never came to check on us until our meals were done, so nothing could be corrected. When we told her she apologized and came back and said she could take the appetizer off. ?? Really?? My husband ate 1 of the ribs of the half rack. He clearly didn’t eat the rest. He ate the couple fries he got. So for 26$ he got 1 rib and a few fries. I ate 1/4 of my chicken and non of the potatoes besides the first bite and 1 from my husband trying it. We left very unhappy and not satisfied. Extremely disappointed. Especially for the prices we paid. We at least expected 1/2 off of his dinner. At least, and I know that is what we would have done if a customer was unhappy and didn’t eat the food, because it isn’t their fault the kitchen served cold or tough food. It’s not like he ate it and then asked for a discount. Like I said we were extremely...
