We tried KB's Burritos in Eagle tonight for the first time (Saturday) after a movie. I had the signature Ketchum burrito and my wife had enchiladas. We were looking forward to some great, local, hot, fast Mexican food. Instead, we were served cold food that was average in taste and quality in my opinion. We watched our food being prepared so there was no time for the food to get cold before we ate it. The ingredients for the burritos, tacos, and enchiladas were probably not kept hot enough in the kitchen. Unfortunately, for our first and last visit, KB'S Burritos appears to be poorly managed and the staff doesn't seem to care very much about the quality of the product or the safety of their customers. In the age of Covid-19, restaurants are compelled to take additional steps for safety. To our amazement, there was an open bin of chips and salsa for the taking. And...wait for it...a small sign requests that you wear gloves when grabbing chips! Open hands grabbing chips and salsa? Yuck! No protective covers on the chips and no covers on the open salsas. We didn't see any safety procedures in place to protect the public. The young lady who took our order and handled cash and made change actually came back in the food prep area to help bag food. No gloves and no hand washing. Wow! I hope KB'S improves training and safety procedures. For us it was a...
Read moreIt was decent. Not sure I’d go back. It was my first time there and I was telling the cashier the same and that I had to order a limited ingredient food based on dietary restrictions my doctor gave me. She couldn’t have cared less!
The only times I’ve exeperienced such apathy was when I’m in far left-leaning cities. The cashier didn’t want to help at all, just sat there and literally didn’t even speak to me or recommend anything or ask me questions about how she can help me choose some what to eat. I had told her the types of meats and other foods I could eat and she still didn’t suggest anything and I had apologized in advance about having dietary restrictions because I hate when people do that but since its doctor’s orders, I have to abide by them.
I ended up letting two separate people go ahead of me to not hold up the line so I could figure out what I could eat.
I finally just gave up and ordered something for my wife and my two little kids and not getting anything for myself.
The kids burrito was ok, they barely ate them and they lacked flavor but they were huge enough to feed a teenager.
The ketchum burrito for my wife was fair, it needed more flavor, which the salsa provided. She said the steak was tough and chewy though.
Its safe to say that we won’t be coming back probably until next year and we’ll give it...
Read moreWe were starving, so I apologize… forgot to get pictures! This place is very fresh and super tasty. This was my first time here and after trying it out I would definitely pick this over chipotle or Qudoba. Fast and friendly service. Their line cilantro sauce is a great touch and you can taste the real cheese used in the queso dip. I’m vegetarian, so I love that they have rice, beans, and corn… along with many other options to add into your burrito. I got a large burrito and it was big enough to eat it for both lunch and dinner. My boyfriend got the chicken bowl and also enjoyed the cilantro lime sauce. We got chips, which their side of chips is big enough for three people. His daughter got a small burrito and almost finished it all. I’ve gotta say, I’m impressed with many of the restaurants around here, including this one. What stands out the most, aside from the food, is the atmosphere. KB’s is right next to a great outdoor seating area with many tables, outdoor lighting, and a fire pit. This is also nearby a park, movie theater, man-made lake with wildlife and a walking path that many people run on, walk, or ride bikes. You can go to an ice cream shop a couple stores down for desert if you wish, also. We were too full to do...
