My boyfriend and I ate Okinawa yesterday and we have both been sick (multiple trips to the bathroom sick). My sushi didn’t taste right to me so I quit eating it halfway through. My boyfriend just thought I wasn’t feeling good so he finished it off and now we’re both incredibly sick. We also frequently eat lobster so we ordered lobster tail off of the menu. When the lobster tail came out it was an old shell of a lobster that had been boiled and hollowed out. There was not a shred of lobster meat in it the meat was replaced with chicken nuggets. When we said something to the waitress because the plate was expensive and we expected to get lobster meat she argued and said it’s lobster not chicken. Anyone who eats lobster and chicken knows the difference. I’ve attached pictures of the lobster shell plate we were served for reference. Walking out the door they have their grade posted on the wall in the most inconspicuous spot so walking in you don’t see it and by the time you walk out it’s too late because you’ve already sat down and ate. The grade is an 81. A restaurant with a grade that low shouldn’t be serving raw food. If you eat here you may as well stop at Ingles next door and stock up on medication for the next morning because when the illness hits you it hits hard and doesn’t quit. Needless to say, we...

My son and I both became extremely sick not long after dining at this restaurant. The only thing we had in common was the sushi. We were excited to try it, but unfortunately, it led to a miserable experience. We’ve been dealing with food poisoning symptoms since eating here, and it has been awful. I’m deeply disappointed and concerned about the food safety standards at this place. I would not recommend dining here, especially if you’re ordering sushi. update review: I called the owner to let them know and she called me back that evening about this review screaming at me. I can't help that I got sick from their FOOD and left a negative review to warn others. it was very unprofessional- She had offered me a gift card which I never accepted or wanted in the first place because I will never come back after this. I know it was the food 100% because I gave my dogs scraps and they were sick also. I have spent so much money there in the past but the quality has declined over the years. I tried to do the right thing and make her aware of the situation. I truly believe she knew there was an issue with the items. owner was so rude I couldn't believe the phone call good thing I recorded the whole conversation-wouldnt let me get a word in...

We were visiting Ellijay and called in to ask if we needed to make reservations. It was a Saturday night, so I wanted to be sure. She told me she would put our name down, but we wouldn't need reservations. When we arrived, I gave my name and he confirmed reservations but said it'd be 30 or more minutes. I looked around and found the place almost empty. I asked why places had not been saved when we called in advance for reservations. He wasn't sure. While waiting, we noticed the health dept score of 81. I should have left at that point. We were seated after 20 minutes and then the craziness began. Our party of 4 agreed that we "ate in reverse." The scallops and shrimp were put on FIRST and completely tough by the time we got them. Steaks were cooked almost last. Mushrooms, that should have been with the steaks, were served when we were all finishing up. We spent time waving down the waitress to get refills and had to insist she remove salad and soup bowls to give us room to eat. Expensive meal to not have an enjoyable experience. We all left shaking our heads over this experience. I hate to give a negative review, but I hope to save others from this...

We had an awful experience here. While we did initially order some food, we changed our minds and canceled it well before it should have been prepared to ensure it could go to someone else. Despite this, the staff still brought the food out and slammed it onto our table in an attempt to force us to eat it. The so-called manager then yelled at us in front of the entire restaurant, trying to bully us into paying for the food we didn’t want. The only food we ate was a sushi appetizer, and when we paid for that and the drinks we didn’t touch, she threw the remaining change at us in a rude manner, with it ultimately landing on the floor. To make it worse, the food was nasty. We don’t recommend anyone EVER eat at this place. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

Always on the hunt for good sushi so we went here today for the first time. We started with Yellowtail, Salmon Sashimi and Tuna Tataki and was pleasantly surprised at the freshness and quality of the fish. Based on that, my wife and I ordered 4 of the raw rolls and they were excellent! Prices were reasonable and the service was top notch. Will definitely be going back soon.
