I was here about a week ago and although I am aware of the labor shortage and the nightmare that restaurants are going through at this time and since COVID. Our initial plan was to sit in the dining room and have dinner but unfortunately the door was locked and there was a sign that dining room was closed and drive thru was open. There was about 9 cars ahead of me so the line was wrapped mostly around the building but I was hungry and didn’t want to go anywhere else so I waited in line. After sitting in line for 30mins I finally got to the window. The man working was friendly enough but you could hear and see the frustration in his voice and body language. When he handed me my drink and turned around he almost tripped and had to catch himself. I looked to see what he had tripped on and there was a woman sitting in the floor in the area between the counter and the drive thru wearing plain street clothes and playing on her phone the whole time I sat there waiting on my order she didn’t not make the smallest attempt to slide one way or the other so that the boy working could walk around her or make a drink. Seeing as the lobby was closed to the public I wasn’t sure how someone was granted access. When he finally handed me my bag I was so irritated and just wanted to leave so I never checked the food. When I sat down to eat my order was completely wrong so I called to let them know there was an issue and a female answered the phone I explained the problem and that I had just left there sitting in drive thru for half an hour I live 20mins out of town and couldn’t come back right then. She took my name and said that she would make a note to correct the order the next time I came in which is really awesome but I don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon. Unfortunately businesses restaurants especially have taken a hit and staffing is almost impossible accommodations are having to be made to meet the needs of the customer and abilities of the employees but that doesn’t mean that the people that do stay employed to keep these places staffed can quite literally sit...
Read moreMy fiance and I arrived at the drive thru during a big storm so we were not surprised when the lady on the speaker had asked us to pull up to the window to order because she wasn't able to hear us over the weather. We pulled to the window and told the lady our order, we sat there waiting for her to finish putting it in so we could pay when out of no where came a man who I assume was the manager wearing a name tag reading HARLEY. He immediately stops her from putting in our order and begins yelling at her saying she needed to charge for the cheese on our whoppers (which I understand but that was not the correct way to go about it). He then begins to correct it and she is asking how he did that and if he can slow down to which he yells "I'm not going to fast!" I understand from my personal experience working in a restaurant that it is a fast-paced and sometimes stressful job but keep in mind the entire time this man is being hateful to this poor girl their window was wide open and not once did he even acknowledge we were there and could hear everything. When he finally left the poor girl turned and apologized to us and we could tell she was extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed. We were both shocked at how this HARLEY man seems to treat his staff, again I know it can be a stressful job but to be so rude so openly in front of paying customers. He should have been the one embarrassed instead of the poor girl working the window getting soaked in the rain blowing in on her every time the window was open. The food was good but the whole experience really ruined our mindset and we won't...
Read moreWe decided to try the tacos that Burger King has been so ardently advertising. The shell appeared to have been deep fried with the meat, the hot sauce in it. Then someone decided to stuff in lettuce but the taco has now sealed itsself and it's much too overcooked to be able bit into it. I can eat some hotsauce but not this one! If a child bit into one of these tacos, you'd have screaming, hysterical children and parents.this new product is no going to be successful!! Cut your advertising costs and let this miserable taco fade out off the scene or learn how to make a real taco.. Just ask the employees at Hardee's to show you how to they make their really great tasting tacos. Insidentally, I don't like the new decor. There's nothing about it that says welcome or even makes you feel warm and welcome. It just appears to say stale, bland, institution as does our local McDonald's and the Dairy Queen didn't fare any better on the style they downgraded...
