Fabio's Colombian Kitchen — Restaurant in East Hanover

I have eaten here several times since it recently opened, and I can't recommend this spot enough. Each meal has been delicious -- homemade and authentic with great flavors. The owner (Fabio) very kindly answered each question I had about the menu.

My first meal was the bandeja paisa (an assortment of different items that were all fantastic). The breakfast options are superb. The Taylor ham, egg, and cheese is loaded. My favorite dish is the shrimp in coconut sauce.

All reasonably priced, and the portions aren't small. Try this spot because you won't be disappointed. I know...

Fabio’s Kitchen is truly a gem! The food is always delicious, authentic, and you can really taste the love in every dish. The owner is one of the nicest people — he always makes you feel welcome and appreciated. One time I wasn’t feeling well on a cold day and ordered an agua panela, and he actually brought it out to my car while I was waiting for the rest of my food. That small gesture meant so much, and it’s just one example of the care and kindness you’ll find here. Every time I eat at Fabio’s Kitchen, I feel like my money is well spent....

After finding this place on Google figured i give it a try, big fan of colombian food. I got 2 beef empanadas - could've been better they were a little too soggy for my preference especially after going to other colobian bakeries and tasted bland also. Then I got a banda paisa which is a big breakfast looked good but also taste was not good, needed more flavor or seasoning or something. The chorizo was good and the maduros as for everything else I've had better. Gave it a 3 cause their service and friendliness was really good, but food...
