Luigi's Italian Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in East Hanover

Went there on a day during the week with my mom and sister to get dinner and received complete discrimination from the owner. The restaurant was empty and we’re looking to get seated & the first thing that came out of the guys mouth was “are you looking for a job?” Then he proceeds to laugh and completely ignored us. As a Hispanic woman i felt completely appalled. It was the first time i was racially humiliated. I should of left but instead i froze and another person sat us down. He came to our table later on and continued to ask us very inappropriate questions like i.e about me and my family’s legal status. If i could leave no stars i would. I had an amazing experience at Luigi's Italian Restaurant & Bar last Thursday. Despite arriving late, tired and hungry, the owner, Luigi, kindly welcomed us and went out of his way to prepare delicious pasta dishes for us even though the kitchen was already closed. We were extremely grateful for the exceptional service and warm hospitality we received. Luigi's attention to detail and willingness to accommodate his guests made us feel at home. Luigi’s Italian Restaurant in East Hanover is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy, authentic atmosphere. The food was incredible—everything tasted homemade and full of flavor. The salmon with horseradish was cooked to perfection, and the Kristina Salad was a hidden treasure on the menu!

Service was top-notch—attentive, friendly, and made us feel like family. The portions were generous, and the ingredients were clearly fresh. We also loved that they offer gluten-free options!
