I’m honest about all my reviews. My husband & I ordered eggs, potatoes, meat, toast..reg breakfast. I wasn’t happy that they didn’t have sourdough or English muffins..because sourdough is a healthier bread & English muffins can be grilled. No lemons for water was another disappointment but the coffee was quite good..Puerto Rican coffee..tasted as if it were made on a stove with the grinds in a filter..very good because most breakfast places we’ve been too have mediocre coffee. The breakfast was delicious and well put together & the reason for the 3 stars had to do with the selection of the breads & the No Lemon 🍋 deal. The service was good but the place dsnt have a lot of seating & most of it is metal with the exception of the tables we sat at with cushioned seats..we like eating at restaurants..we seldom take out. The atmosphere I gave a 1 star because it wasn’t pleasing to the eyes..I think the owners should @ sum point make their establishment cuter. I might stop by again but probably not too often because atmosphere goes with dining in. They’re located in a great Hot Spot.. across from East Hartford police & next door to a mechanic shop..so men must frequent the restaurant which probably is the reason why they are presently number 4 on WFSB 3 for Breakfast Places in CT.. I disagree with #4 because my husband & I are foodies & not to say it wasn’t good but not giving a discount to your Veterans when most restaurants do, the prices were a bit peeked & the atmosphere was daunting. So if you don’t mind paying alittle more, enjoy a good breakfast, & don’t mind a mediocre atmosphere then this is the...
Read moreI recently visited with my family, and I must say….. it was an exceptional experience from start to finish!!! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcomed as soon as we walked in. They truly care about their guests, offering recommendations and checking in frequently to ensure everything was perfect. The service was outstanding, with our server being both efficient and personable. We never had to wait long for anything, and they made sure we were comfortable throughout our meal. The food was just as impressive as the service. Every dish was beautifully prepared and packed with flavor. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. But what really stood out was the inviting atmosphere. It felt like home, and that’s something that’s hard to come by at restaurants. We left feeling not only satisfied by the great meal but also grateful for the wonderful experience. I highly recommend you visit! We’ll be back for the delicious food, top-notch service, and an overall fantastic...
Read moreBest place for breakfast, pastries and coffee either east or west of the river. Everything is excellent, tasty and prepared from scratch except of course the pastries made on the premises in advance. Service is exceptionally fast. The coffee is outstanding as are the home fries. Portions are generous-the breakfast burritos are huge. The owners hustle but are cordial, friendly and attentive. Parking is on the street or in the rear. Access is wheelchair friendly. The Spot is a hidden gem and building a growing clientele for good reason. FYI,...
