Dairy Queen — Restaurant in East Hempfield Township

45 minutes of waiting through the drive thru; multiple employees messing around and knocking supplies onto the ground and restocking the supplies after it touches the floor should of been tossed. Order a large hot fudge shake, was given a hot fudge sundae twice in error and then told they’re out of hot fudge so settled for chocolate syrup. Ordered a large mango slushy and was charged for a mango freeze and watched the employee pour into a medium cup, caught himself doing it and poured it into a large cup. Told him I paid for large not medium and saw what he did and he detested it was a large. Paid for a medium sprite; given a small. Overall our bill should of been $13 was charged $17. Prices in drive through board are not up to date and there’s not legit management for night crew or this wouldn’t of happened. No apologies from the staff and the teenage employees are screaming their heads off when they have traffic going into Columbia ave. Just lazy business and an owner that can schedule efficient...

This is one of the most rundown dairy queens I have seen in a while. They only have ice cream and not the traditional dairy queen food to go with it. They seemed to be out of a lot of stuff. First 2 items I went to order were out. However with that said, the staff were friendly and pretty quick. They didn't tip my blizzard or it would have run out but it still tasted good. And in fairness, it was pretty hot out. They do NOT have free pup cups like regular dairy queen does or used to do either. But there was a decent amount of ice cream in the cup I bought for nearly $3. I am honesty good with just the little taste that normally comes in a pup cup. But he sure did enjoy the extra tonight. 3 stars is a bit of a benefit of the doubt rating. The location itself is nice and front of house including bathroom was clean so kudos on that. On this particular stop I was cutting it kinda close before closing. I am going to chalk up the rest of this review to that but of info. The toppings bar behind the counter was globbed with piles of toppings and candy and the individual taking my order just seemed to be cashed out for the day. They were less than enthusiastic but he did accommodate a special request on my one blizzard order. The rest of the crew wasn't any better when it comes to a smile it positive attitude. Also, the blizzards themselves were uncharacteristically soft. I'm willing to bet they would not have passed the classic DQ...
