My wife and I were looking for a firm mattress to replace a 14-year-old mattress. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by Ben who immediately started listening to us as far as what we were looking for, took notes, and started to show us their line of mattresses that would fit our style of sleeping.

We tried different firm mattresses, getting a feel for different coils, foam tops, etc. My wife and I both like firm, but I’m a little more picky than she when it comes to the overall feel. Motion transfer is especially important to me because my wife tosses and turns a lot at night.

After trying out different mattresses, we settled on a 3,000 coil count, firm mattress. We figured we would be spending quite a bit of money, but to our surprise, they do offer a 50% discount if they have a used mattress in stock.

Let me stress that USED mattresses simply means a customer had purchased a mattress and were given up to a four-month trial to decide if they liked it our not. If the customer decided they didn’t care for the feel of the mattress, they would simply return it and get something to better suit their style. So these “used” mattresses, at most, have been owned for only four months. They are then sanitized, taken care of, and in stock for purchasing, but at an extraordinary 50% off. We were fortunate enough that the mattress we decided on WAS available in the warehouse as a clearance item. This allowed us to spend a little extra money to purchase a “cooling” set of sheets and pillows.

We highly recommend Mattress Firm in Lancaster, over by Lowe’s on Rhoerstown Town Road. Ben was an exceptionally great salesman, took the time to listen to our needs and concerns, and gave us an extraordinary deal that we couldn’t pass up. All the salesmen working at the time were very nice and would say hello as you walked by. So there is no doubt in my mind you will receive exceptional service anytime you go to this Mattress Firm.

UPDATE: We had the 2 best night’s sleep EVER! Our new bed is everything we imagined it would be, and more! The delivery guys were fantastic, and arrived before we expected. WE ARE VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMERS!!!

My hubby and I visited this Mattress Firm location this evening because we were ready to purchase our first brand new bed. Jeremy introduced himself and before showing us any mattresses, he talked with us about our needs & wants. He answered our questions about their current sales and financing options. He was knowledgeable not only about the products he sells, but also about how to get the best night’s sleep by sleeping in the correct position and why. Fascinating! Jeremy didn’t pressure us, not even once. He showed us different mattresses and educated us on the pros & cons of each but ultimately we made the decision on our own. We ended up going with a king size Reserve 14" Plush Encased Coil Mattress by Sleepy’s with cooling gel-infused memory foam and an adjustable base. We walked into the store with a pretty firm budget; Jeremy was respectful of that and “got us into” the bed we really wanted, complete with tax & delivery, setup and removal of our current bedding, for not a penny over our budget. On Wed, November 13th I went to Mattress Firm in Lancaster, Pa to purchase a new mattress. I was dreading this. I knew I was going to be dealing with a pushy salesman to buy a mattress that I couldn't afford, very similar to a used car salesman. When I walked in with my daughter and daughter-in-law for support, a young man greeted us very friendly. He ask us our names and said he would remember them. He told us his name was Maonefer. I was sure I wouldn't remember. So he started to ask what I was looking for and he missed my name. We all laughed and the evening changed into a fun time and I relaxed! He was so helpful in explaining about each mattress, encouraging me to ask questions and letting me try any mattress of my choice. When it came down to deciding between two mattresses, one more expensive than the other, I was afraid the pressure would be on. But when I told him I was choosing the less expensive one he was fine with that and even managed a discount on it. He was so personable, funny, talkative and respectful to me. We figured out that he was the age of my grandchildren! Buying a mattress can be stressful. But Maonefer made the experience much less so and we all had a good time.
