As a travel advisor, this was the worst motel I have ever stayed in. I researched this motel before planning a birthday getaway with friends because it was so close to the Dutch Apple Theater. Most of the reviews I saw were positive, so I thought that for one night, it would be a good option. |I was so embarrassed when, from the very start at check in after driving 2 hours from NYC the women working the front desk was sitting on the steps smoking and made it quite clear we were disturbing her cigarette break. When asked if we could use a bathroom, she snapped there isn't any, and so being urgent, we just tried to get through the process. When she asked my friend who was checking in what make and model my car was my friend replied she wasn't sure she would check the women snapped. Haven't you ever traveled before. It wasn't her car.. all she wanted was to use a bathroom... that was until we got to the room and saw the bathroom. It looked like it wasn't cleaned in years . Hair on the sink from the previous guest, the shower so black we refused to use it the mattress was so stained it was disgusting and gunk spilled on the TV the coffee pot I don't think was ever washed.. |It was just horrible. I couldn't wait to get out of there. There is absolutely nothing I can find goid to say about it. I was so extremely embarrassed that I even recommended...
Read moreJust about every issue you could have with a budget motel, this place had. For starters, despite numerous notices that it’s a non smoking place, everything smelled like cigarettes, and not just a little, the clean towels and all linens smelled like stale smoke, and the bathroom was the worst. Clearly an issue still. ||||The towel we put on the floor by the shower turned from white to gray in about 5 minutes, the room was barely clean. ||||Let’s talk atmosphere. The best way to describe this, there is a written notice that they give you with your room key saying prostitution is prohibited. Wouldn’t think this was something that needed saying until I saw the people staying here. Just gross. ||||We heard our neighboring units partying until 4am, the walls are paper thin. I woke up smelling like a combination of sweat, cigarette, and the curry from the Indian restaurant in the plaza. ||||I can not believe the price of hotels in Lancaster these days. I can get a better room 99/100 times for less money ON THE BEACH in tampa. Came back to town to visit my grandfather with my daughters, and this establishment should be ashamed. ||||For 86$ a night, I can confidently say I would have rather slept at a bus station, and I now may have hepatitis. Beware. Maybe Lancaster is just to Bougie for me these days, but I refuse to pay 260$ for the next step up at...
Read moreAfter making reservations and fully paying for the room, and providing requested items at check in, we were shockingly locked out of our 2nd floor (stairs) room after a day of shopping on day 2 of our 3 night stay. The reason? They wanted another form of ID for their file on the FULLY PAID ROOM. LOCKED OUT. KEY DEACTIVATED. We stood there, in the heat and humidity, trying the key over and over. All of our bags on the ground, after climbing up 2 sets of stairs. Trekked down the stairs to the front desk, where they refused to issue us a new key unless we provided another ID. We were shown a note left by management to not issue a new key until we cooperated. The room was FULLY PAID FOR. We provided everything they asked for at check-in. No offer was made to attempt to make this right or satisfy our inconveniences experience. Customer appreciation and retention does not exist there. They have a different perspective of things in third world countries. Unfortunately, many times those perspectives are carried into the U.S. I would never, ever recommend this place. There are many other nice options. If you do happen to go there, don’t trip over the huge bucket that collects grease from the adjoining restaurant’s external oven fans. It’s right at the foot of the stairs to your room, below the two huge sets of...
