Slightly overpriced grocery store, but nothing out of the ordinary. They do have nice sales once in a while. Update: please note that the staff is kinda "hood", management won't come out to help shoppers with anything, and they do NOT have non-dairy cheese. Large selection of cheese, none are Lactose-free. And if they DID have it, I couldn't find it. I tried to get some help but the store manager didn't bother coming out to even TRY (they just sent the clerk back with "If it's not in the cheese aisle, we don't have it") 😒 Maybe I'm kinda "spoiled" by good customer service at places like Whole Foods, but I expected slightly more effort from this overpriced grocery store known as Giant. Oh well, I'm gonna throw my money at Trader Joe's and get my Lactose-free cheese slices!

I usually go to the Giant in Aldan but because I had points for a discount on gas,I chose this location. BIG MISTAKE! I figured because this store was bigger it would have more variety. Their produce is horrible & the worst!! Tomatoes so soft you put your figure through it just picking it up. The the green leaf lettuce & Napa cabbage was dripping wet & wilted. Their yogurt selection is worse then Save-A-Lot. If your looking for Oikos Greek Zero they only have 4 flavors. Seafood looked dried out & old & they had no scallops. They pretty much substituted quality & verity for fancy deli screens, specialty food counters, & a fancy robot named Marty. But they have a huge pig head on display. Smh🤦

I explained to the manager that it looks like false advertisements on the apples and pineapples. The apples are per pound but the sign looks as if they were$0.99 a bag. The pineapples says $1.00 but when I was at the register it rang in at $1.27. The manager and cashier acted as if it was not an issue at all and asked if they should void them.

Now sells alcoholic beverages just like Fresh Grocer that's in 69th Street Plaza, but that has better deals! Located at the 2nd entrance closer to Giant Gas Station! Flowers, vases and potted plants and seasonal and occasional nick nacks and trinkets are located near the first front entrance just before self service check out. Across the kids size accomodationing shopping carts to help shopping and the special seasonal cookies and pastry bakery goods! They have red wine and white white, wine coolers, beer, beer coolers, malt liquor, vodka, tequila drinks and excetra! Easy to find items. Lots of choices to choose from. Lots of new items that give you great ideas to create and craft. To create theme parties. Smells good! Air conditioning inside is excellent! When it's cold outside it's very cozy and warm, but not too overwhelmed by any heat ... It's not thick for anybody who gets clouster phobic especially when you have to be wearing a mask during the pandemic. I don't ever use my hand fan when I'm in there which is great. I usual would have one with me anyways. 😎👍 Very heathy choices. Vegan friendly for you or anyone you know. I love the fact that the self service area has a option you can remove your items off the counter if you bought a lot stuff and put it in your cart so you don't to make separate services. My kids love Marty the robot. Love the fact that they have a stuffed animal of him too. A++ smooth riding handicap carts easy to operate, don't take too long to charge up if running low. Very comfortable plenty of leg room and good foot placement areas. Very quite running too. Barely hear engine at all. No crackly and scratchy sounds. Very very clean and all throughout the store as well. Plenty of room and easy to reach. Love the 10 for $10 option. But also love the sales on buy 2 items for a certain discount or 3. Plenty glutton free products. Lots of reduced salted or non salted foods as well. Tons reduce fat and low calorie products. Love the milk options. Love the fit drinks. Lots of magazines to choose from. Love where they placed customer service at right after the check out lines. Will shop here again and again. Right now there is a good sale with bird seeds for wild birds or domesticated birds they even have the block and stick kind that has the seeds on them too. They have cage pets foods for sale like hamster or gerbil like seeds and pellet balls and excetra. Also tank pet foods for fishes and turtles, lizards, anything aquatic like that there. They have the mini shrimp, sticks and fish flakes....

INSTITUTIONALIZED RACISM. That is what Giant Food Stores practices. For the Third time in as many weeks came home and chopped into an Onion only to find that it was rotten. The Lansdowne Store is the closest big grocery store to West Philadelphia a primarily African American Community. When I compare my experience there vs. say a story in the wealthy suburbs, like Glen Mills, PA the cleanliness of the stores are markedly different. The Lansdowne store is filthy to the point of being a public health risk. The shelves that hold the eggs are covered in residue of broken egg yolks (can you say SALMONELLA). The MEAT and Dairy are always almost out of date. The produce is always nearly rotten or very nearly on the way to being so. I squeezed an avocado to check for freshness and it exploded-ed black OOZE in my hand. It was literally LIQUEFIED. The entire box of Avocados was like that. It was not an isolated incident. It happened to me twice in as many shopping trips. The Produce Manager should be FIRED. I guess with the BOTTOM DOLLAR closed they could care less about customer service. It is the only grocery store in walking distance, the Save-A-Lot somehow manages to be even worse than Giant. Why does GIANT Food Stores think it is okay to treat it's African American client base like garbage? You want to know what is especially EVIL? Even though it serves people from a lower economic back ground they actually charge MORE at the GIANT store in Lansdowne, than compared to the Glen Mills store. Some one should start a class action lawsuit...

I had went to the 300 E Baltimore Ave, Lansdowne, PA 19050 giants location I been a customer of theirs for years. It’s my Neighborhood location. But tonight will be my very last time going there and I will see to it my family , friends and associates will not pretake there. Today at 7:00 pm I want to cash in my coin star receipt. I approached the heavy set light complexion young lady with two buns told me as I walked up with her late on shouted at me saying she “was closed!” I said to her I just wanted to cash in my receipt she said “no” and watched the customer Infront of me bag up his stuff she didn’t even help him I then knew she was inexperienced , and unpleasant . I went to another line she then walked up to the skinny fair skin young lady and told her while she was servicing to close her line . The other young lady said no I’m going to keep it open because the team lead or assistant manager was watching . The young lady said why I closed my line I’m not helping nobody for the rest of the night she then said they do this to me and you all the time for her to feel comfortable saying that in front of me shows she doesn’t take her job seriously . If you lack customer service skills then why apply for the job nobody made you apply for that position if you not a people person then take your attitude else where that all being said not only is she a brute she’s lazy and a tyrant . I can tell she is troubled by giving bad advice to her fellow coworker . It is just sad and sickening to see youths are running circles...
