Peppas pizza was really confusing to me. I just want to say it was not terrible pizza by no means, but I will explain. To me, the crust had great texture, both crispy and a little bit chewy which I enjoyed. It was also a very light feeling pizza. Now I tried three slices, the plain cheese, the eggplant with spinach, and the sweet chili chicken. Flavor wise the crust did lack a little flavor although texturally, was great. Pretty good sauce to cheese to crust ratio but the spinach and eggplant pizza disappointed me, because there was so much spinach on there combined with the cheese almost made me choke a couple of times really had to chew it good in order to swallow it, and the fried eggplant lacked flavor and texture. Maybe some seasoning in the breading would’ve helped. 😬 The sweet chili chicken also needed some type of breading it was just chicken breast with sweet chili sauce and really nothing else on the pizza other than some broccoli🤦🏻♂️ Overall on the Dave Portnoy scale, I think the pizza has potential to be really good because of the New York style, thin crust and the texture of the crust but they definitely need to make improvements on the recipes they are using so I am going to rate this pizza a 7.3 with the potential to be over an eight because the crust has great texture like I said, and the crust may very well be the most important part of a pizza. get some high quality cheese, improve your sauce recipe and have some integrity and take pride in what you are doing and you could do great things...
Read moreGreat (maybe even fantastic) pizza, but when there's a problem, you can forget about customer service.
I placed an order and was told that it would be 45 minutes to an hour. After more than an hour had passed, I called to see what the status of my order was. Apparently the delivery driver left my food at another house, more than a block away. They told me they'd make another order, and it would be out right away. I waited 25 minutes and called again, just to be told it would be another 15 minutes. I waited those 15 minutes, then called and told them to refund my card, I wouldn't be paying for the food. They could deliver it or not, but either way, I wasn't paying. The manager was put on the phone, and had the nerve to question why I was upset.
A few minutes later, the delivery guy actually shows up. I told him that I called the restaurant, and I had no intention of paying for the food. He shrugged, said 'well, here you go' and handed it to me anyway. My family starts eating, and a couple of minutes later the doorbell rings again. It's the delivery guy, and he says his manager is insisting that he get the food back.
I gave him back everything that hadn't already been bitten into.
I've been ordering pizza from Peppa's for a couple months now, but tonight's order will...
Read moreGreat pizza! 2 slices are very filling. Sweet chilli is my favorite. Can't wait to go back again
2nd edit: 10/2022 Still eat here every few months and always hits the spot. Pizza is just as good as our first time here. Still one of my favorite spots. Sweet chili, pepperoni, pepperoni chicken and bacon, bbq ranch chicken and the tomato basil (with large pieces of basil under the cheese!) Are all amazing slices. In and out quick, cheap and delicious. 5 (large) slices, 2 drinks, ~28$. Hidden gem to say the least!
Edit: I have been eating here every few weeks for the last few months and haven't had a pizza I didn't like. Staff is always fantastic. Pricing on an extra large specially pizza of their quality is amazing and easily makes 2-3 meals for 2 people. Their menu always changes for "by the slice" with a few Staples being present always. (The sweet chili is always there and always welcome on my plate) Monday and Tuesday is all you can eat also. (I can't have more than 2 slices at any given time no matter how hungry I am but it's still cheaper than 2 slices any other day by a buck or so). Definitely recommend this place, it's the perfect "hole in the wall" pizza joint you can't help but tell your...
