The culinary experience at the restaurant left much to be desired. While my wife thoroughly enjoyed the special she ordered, I found the meals overall lacking in both flavor and inspiration. Specifically, I ordered the Chicken Parmesan, which, while decent, failed to impress. I couldn't help but question the decision to combine a red sauced Chicken Parmesan with a white sauced pasta. Although it was passable, I believe the dishes should have been plated separately to prevent the mixing of the contrasting sauces. Furthermore, the pasta lacked visual appeal and could have benefited from a sprinkle of fresh parsley on top to add a touch of vibrant color.
The service also fell short of expectations. To their credit, the staff did inform us that our server was in the final night of training. However, we encountered a few issues that left us wanting. After our food was served, we waited an unfortunate four minutes before I had to proactively seek out another waitress to request new silverware, as we had placed ours with our appetizers. The person who served our food hurriedly disappeared before we could make the request. It was a minor inconvenience, but considering our experiences at higher-end restaurants where a second set of silverware is typically provided after appetizers, it left us feeling a tad disappointed.
Additionally, it struck us as peculiar that an Italian-inspired restaurant did not serve bread prior to the appetizers. This small gesture, which is commonly seen in establishments of this nature, was noticeably absent, contributing to an overall sense of inconsistency in the dining experience.
In summary, while my wife's dish was enjoyable, the lackluster flavors and uninspired presentation of the meals, as well as the less-than-ideal service, left us feeling underwhelmed. With some improvements in flavor profiles, attention to plating, and more consistent service, this restaurant has the potential to elevate its offerings and provide a more satisfying...

The Food: was amazing, everything was delicious and loaded with unique flavor. The chicken wings had an amazing garlic Parmesan sauce heavy on the rosemary that gave them an intense earthy flavor. The pizza dough is light, thin and fluffy. The butternut squash ravioli were probably our favorite. Brussel sprouts were done to crispy perfection. We have never seen pasta chips so that was a unique and crunchy experience.
The Drinks: were also great. A solid selection of local beers on tap, wild specialty cocktails and of course the classics. My wife love the Espresso Martini and will order it again. The have a full bar on one side of the restaurant.
The Staff: we're very helpful, polite, and professional. Our waitress was new and being trained by another waitress, yet she did everything spot on, zero mistakes or complaints. Everything we wanted we got!
The Atmosphere: a really cozy spot with the highlight of the space being the center area with the giant wood ovens where the pizza gets fired. You see the chefs prep the food up there, tossing the dough up in the air. The space is very well decorated/designed with a modern rustic feel to it. Lots of wood, tile, and metal. Doesn't feel like something you'd find in East Longmeadow, and that's a good thing. It almost feels like you're stepping into a restaurant in NYC.
We'll definitely go back to try the rest of the menu!
Advice to management: Make the butternut squash ravioli an entree as well as an appetizer, we'd gladly demolish a bigger portion of those bad boys.
The only gripe if you can even call it that, is that the brussel sprouts had too much salt on them, but it wasn't a big deal we still...
Read moreGeorge does it again.. With fresh ingredients. In-house made pasta!!! I'm always a huge fan of golden Irene's in my hometown of East Windsor so I was very excited to hop over the state line to East Longmeadow and try George's new restaurant!
Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. When we sat down we were greeted with water. And warm hot fresh bread with dipping olive oil. One thing I would like to see on the menu is mocktails because not all of us drink alcohol but I did appreciate that they made the strawberry lemonade without vodka but still all the laughs ;)
My friend that I went with ordered a pizza, She had ordered the chicken alfredo pizza minus the broccoli and she enjoyed it very much the pizza is made from fresh dough and fired on real wood burning ovens. Which are just a work of art in themselves which they are showcased front and center in the restaurant so you can watch them make your pizza while you wait. Myself I ordered the tagliatelle feta, and for only 12 extra dollars I got a large salmon fillet which was cooked to Perfection with seasoning as well. Also for 4 extra dollars if you need to be gluten-free you can get gluten-free pasta. There was other choices like chicken or shrimp that you could also pair with your pasta.
I can't wait...
